  1. Sunderland have been high comedy this season.
  2. Had a header in a good position off a set piece. Completely failed to do anything worthwile with it. This is going to sound ridiculous, but Chelsea could really do with some more players.
  3. Alex really should have scored or something there.
  4. I think we have a good chance to win the North East division this year
  5. Think it's because the same feed is being broadcast in America as well. But, he didn't commentate like this for World Cup, so, I don't know. Its only for america by the sound of it, talking in dollars all the time and almost insultingly dumbing it down for the viewers Pretty ridiculous. As anyone who's getting up at 4:45-7:45 in the morning in America to watch this game is already going to know these things. You'd be surprised. Around here lots of men in my age range (18-25) are rather interested by the sport, but don't really know the particulars of everything.
  6. Don't rate Mikel or Kalou either at all. (Not for what Chelsea would expect anyway). See, I disagree heavily on both players. That is beyond the discussion though. Ramires has been horrendous today. I don't care how new he is.
  7. You're mad if you think Ramires is anywhere as good as Obi and Kalou who have been vital for Chelsea the last two seasons. He's been awful thus far. The other two have been good for three years now. edit: At fault for the goal. The other CMs wouldn't have lost the ball like that.
  8. But Chelsea are playing the exact same formation! With much better players and a better manager. Many would argue that Man City's midfield is the equal if not better than Chelsea. The real problem for City is their defence not being completely solid, and the attacking three being one dimensional.
  9. But Chelsea are playing the exact same formation!
  10. I am enjoying the midfield tussle, tbh. Some top class players in there. edit:Ivanovic of the crossbar.
  11. It's ridiculous how much more massive Yaya Toure is than everyone else. He's like an NFL player.
  12. When teams wear jackets onto the pitch. Man City are doing it now and most teams wore them at the World Cup. What is the point of them? I know some idiot supporters will buy them, but they are worn for maybe a minute on the pitch.
  13. It's only for fifteen minutes, but listening to Steve Mcmanaman and this blonde woman on ESPN is a chore. It's really not good.
  14. I suppose we have a decent chance of beating the children, but Arsenal did put out a relatively strong squad in the Spurs match. It seems as though the fans want him to actually win something.
  15. They're playing Chelsea, though. Chelsea will also be playing three "defensive midfielders".
  16. Honestly, I wouldn't begrudge any big, well supported and historic club from getting investment and going on to win things. The only problem I have is a club like Man City who inflate the market to absurdly ridiculous degrees.
  17. Just point out that the Chelsea team had a combined 374 international caps, and we had four players starting who have never started a PL game. The result as much as it was a good one for us was an embarassment for Chelsea and its featured players. Exactly. Don't even know why I've bothered to respond again. They're barely football fans. They're a twattish bunch of spoilt c***s, is how it looks. Yep, exactly my first thoughts. I've given up arguing though, it's a waste with plastic supporters like that who don't know what it's like to follow a real club. I was about respond to the 'big club' jibe, but yeah it's just a waste of time. Chelsea were f***ing nowt till Abramovich turned up. Devils advocate, but Abramovich's first match in chrage of Chelsea was a CL qualifier. IT's not a Man City situation. They were a serious club before.
  18. No there hasn't. The 'No' people have just said you can get them anywhere else. That's not a good argument as the point is we could discuss them openly in threads without the forum be sued. That's better than any of the arguments so far. People saying the forum running costs would be better suited have a point. But there isn't a thread for that (for reasons Andy has now stated) so it's a moot point at the moment. But you've already said you're not in which is fair enough but if 30+ others say they're in what's the problem (again, unless the admin say it's too much of a headache to organise)? There's no reason to fight to make a point you're not interested people. You're not in; which is fair enough and as definitive as can be. No need to justify your decision Maybe the biggest problem is next season when it has to be done all over again! However, I accept it aint gonna happen The financial cost to the members, and the cost to the administration in terms of time, energy, and effort are significantly larger than the benefit of being able to see fixtures without opening a new tab on your browser.
  19. You want me to spend my hard earned currency to feed the ever expanding ego of "The Greatest League in the World"?! Rubbish! Please, man. I can get all sort of obscure statistical data on the internet free of charge, yet I'm supposed to pay for something that is generally common knowledge. Anyone who pays for this is a fool really. Not worth it at all.
  20. I can tell you from experience that it is difficult not to pick up small things when you spend a bit of time in a place, but I've spent a lot more time in Yankee than McClaren has in Germany without completely changing the way I talk. The only way this happens, is if you desire the change.
  21. Agreed. Agreed, it's almost as bad as pretending to be Nigerian on a Newcastle forum. I cannot really think of any situation where pretending to be Nigerian would be of benefit to me on the internet. Depends who you previously posted as I suppose. I think you are taking the piss because I genuinely have no clue what you are on about. The fixture thing just seems ridiculous. You think it would be common knowledge. Does the BBC aggressively copyright its television and radio schedules?
  22. That's bizarre logic.. Also I don't believe anyone here constantly browses that forum, nobody is that sad surely. I pop across if I see a talking point in the Chron/Journal/or here about SAFC. That board has resident NUFC fans I cant think of any SAFC fans who post regularly on here. I'm not criticsing anyone by the way. I'm constantly having banter with fans of rival teams/countries in my everyday life. It's good for football. I just find it odd that people are denying their interest in SAFC despite spending their time trolling their bloody message boards. Wish it was that clean cut. What do they say - form goes out the window in a derby match. Still reckon it's too close to call. I think score draw, probably 1-1. The teams are really quite even. Two average Premiership teams with a few nice players. No one will be dominating anyone. Even when they beat us two years ago, they weren't much better, if at all. We were just in disarray.
