  1. Get over yourself man. You have no idea about real life. Have you ever even been to Britain? People here comment on all sorts of things, size, appearance, the clothes you wear, the car you drive. That is what happens. So you honest think that professional sportsmen should be out drinking alcohol before matches? Is that not just a piss take on your part? You make it sound like they are downing a can of stella on the bus down. If a player is out what right do you have to go up and begin insulting him, in that theory, I should be well within my rights to come up to you in the street and begin shouting abuse at you. I might be opening a can of worms here but do you pay Blefuscu's wages? No, but you don't pay the players wages either. You are simply a customer of the product which they help to provide. The players are paid by the firm that they work for (Just like you) which in this case happens to be Newcastle United. Just because you eat at McDonalds doesn't mean that you are "paying the wages" of the employees or that you have any right to abuse them.
  2. Aye, woman and you are supposed to be a professional whatever the hell it is that you do. I wonder how you take if a bunch of idiots followed you when you were in public and insulted you, ffs. They shouldn't go drinking in Newcastle. You're kidding me. They should do whatever the hell they want as long as it follows the law and the stipulations of their contract. Public opinion should have no influence on how people live their day to day life outside of the workplace.
  3. Because that is harassment. Yell at the players at the pitch all you want, but doing it in public crosses the boundary in my opinion. Give over man. That is pathetic. They don't mind the praise when they are doing well, they should take the flack when they are doing s****. If they are out drinking in Newcastle when they have a game in the next couple of days they deserve to know what the paying fans think. Why should they be harassed in public? Are they not free citizens with rights? You seem quick to play the victim, yet you won't acknowledge the rights of others.
  4. Because that is harassment. Yell at the players at the pitch all you want, but doing it in public crosses the boundary in my opinion.
  5. I think they'll beat Man U (who frankly have looked rather average too). Torres and Gerrard will suddenly become fit and will them on to victory. Do you think there is any chance Torres heads to Barcelona rather than Villa if Liverpool continue their descent?
  6. Good news West Brom lost by the way. Lost opportunity, but also decreased damage done.
  7. It's a bit ridiculous to write off Zurab and Harewood especially. The Georgian has been here a month and Harewood even less.
  8. Four consecutive losses with one goal scored...is "sacked in the morning" form for any PL manager from the title fighters to relegation candidates.
  9. It's not panic time yet....but it is time for the hierarchy to do something....anything.
  10. Loss isn't really that big of a deal for Barca tbh. Newcastle, on the other hand..... Liverpool have lost four matches in a row and have Man U next.
  11. LYON score again!! 2-1! Very happy to see French teams do well, even if it is not Marseille at the moment. this might be the year it all catches up with Liverpool.
  12. Santana was sacked from South Africa, they will be a disaster in the World Cup.
  13. Was just thinking about the players response. I bet their shoulders dropped when they heard the news why? its no change from where we are now is it? Butt last week was in the chron saying hughton should get the job Generally the players seem to have gone out of their way to support Hughton being given the job full-time. They like him and will play for him. The question is if Hughton is a strong enough manager/personality to take control for himself.
  14. Hughton has in our rightful position considering our talent (West Brom are better imo), I'll give him that. If the managers last season could do that we'd be playing Spurs instead of Scunthorpe.
  15. We'll not get promoted with Hughton as manager, I couldn't care less if that is fair or not. He's not up to the job and the games we've played so far do nothing to change my opinion of him. And even if we do get promoted, what then? It's hardly an appointment to f***ing build upon. It's the exact same idea as Kinnear last year. Settle the club down. Michael Ashley has no thought for the future. The present is his future and the past is his present. Time has slowed and nearly ceased for him and his ownership, just as it does for a man lying on his deathbed. If we get promoted, the whole process likely starts again.
  16. That makes no sense. I agree with this sentiment. What i mean to say is that Hughton is not a concern to me. Obviously I have been somewhat limited to seeing a few live matches and highlights, but looking at the playing staff, I am not surprised that we are have issues scoring/creating. I'm hoping this means Hughton is given some funds to fix this. He seems like a sharp guy who would be a transfer market maestro. Yeah but my point was that by appointing Hughton Ashley is all but guaranteeing that there will be no spending. He's being appointed because he's cheap and won't cause a fuss. Fair point, but I am hoping (however naive that hope may be) that this has been done to put some stability in place after the patchy run that we've been going through of late. Essentially, Hughton was the manager to the end of the season anyway unless Ashley sold. As you say, Hughton is cheap and can easily be bought out by whoever would come in. I really don't this changes any plans, and I hope (that word again) that the plan is to throw around a million pounds or so in January. edit: Yes, Kezman. Reading through my original post, it makes very little sense. I have that problem when I type fast and/or am distracted. However, I see Dave may have been saying something different. edit (second edition): You all are amazing. I could spend a week at this computer and fail to make a facepalm photo. Keefaz can do it in fifteen minutes
  17. You should be ashamed for using Sky Sports, btw Shak! http://www.beloblog.com/KENS5/west/little-girl-sad-500.jpg That makes no sense. I agree with this sentiment. 18. First, he ought to try and score some damn goals and get his team out of the relegation zone. Surely this is priority?
  19. What the hell is up with Villareal? I see they are bottom of the table. I understand they lost their manager and are not the team they once were, but that is insane.
  20. Really have no issue with the appointment at all tbh. This gets the seal of approval from me. I am much more concerned about the unbalanced/talented playing staff.
  21. When Drogba was Aguero's age, he was a rubbish striker at Le Mans. Kun is clearly an exceptional talent and we should let him develop and get his chance on the big stage before we start comparisons.
  22. Was on Saturday, but still really odd. Didn't seem to have the desired effect as Lyon lost to lowly Sochaux .
  23. In terms of football dynasties we shouldn't forget Abedi Pele and his son Andre Ayew who is a promising prospect at l'OM who looks set to break through. Obviously there are the Toure (Kolo, Yaya, Ibrahim) Also there are the Olisehs, Sunday being the most famous. That family has produced four professional footballers including Sekou who is youngster at CSKA Moscow. Also, produced the manager credited with bringing Oba to Europe.
