The official Chris Hughton job offer facepalm thread.

That makes no sense. I agree with this sentiment. What i mean to say is that Hughton is not a concern to me. Obviously I have been somewhat limited to seeing a few live matches and highlights, but looking at the playing staff, I am not surprised that we are have issues scoring/creating. I'm hoping this means Hughton is given some funds to fix this. He seems like a sharp guy who would be a transfer market maestro. Yeah but my point was that by appointing Hughton Ashley is all but guaranteeing that there will be no spending. He's being appointed because he's cheap and won't cause a fuss. Fair point, but I am hoping (however naive that hope may be) that this has been done to put some stability in place after the patchy run that we've been going through of late. Essentially, Hughton was the manager to the end of the season anyway unless Ashley sold. As you say, Hughton is cheap and can easily be bought out by whoever would come in. I really don't this changes any plans, and I hope (that word again) that the plan is to throw around a million pounds or so in January. edit: Yes, Kezman. Reading through my original post, it makes very little sense. I have that problem when I type fast and/or am distracted. However, I see Dave may have been saying something different. edit (second edition): You all are amazing. I could spend a week at this computer and fail to make a facepalm photo. Keefaz can do it in fifteen minutes -

You should be ashamed for using Sky Sports, btw Shak! http://www.beloblog.com/KENS5/west/little-girl-sad-500.jpg That makes no sense. I agree with this sentiment. First, he ought to try and score some damn goals and get his team out of the relegation zone. Surely this is priority?

Brilliant! Nice Dawkins (?) shirt as well. -
What the hell is up with Villareal? I see they are bottom of the table. I understand they lost their manager and are not the team they once were, but that is insane.

Really have no issue with the appointment at all tbh. This gets the seal of approval from me. I am much more concerned about the unbalanced/talented playing staff. -
When Drogba was Aguero's age, he was a rubbish striker at Le Mans. Kun is clearly an exceptional talent and we should let him develop and get his chance on the big stage before we start comparisons.

Was on Saturday, but still really odd. Didn't seem to have the desired effect as Lyon lost to lowly Sochaux .

In terms of football dynasties we shouldn't forget Abedi Pele and his son Andre Ayew who is a promising prospect at l'OM who looks set to break through. Obviously there are the Toure (Kolo, Yaya, Ibrahim) Also there are the Olisehs, Sunday being the most famous. That family has produced four professional footballers including Sekou who is youngster at CSKA Moscow. Also, produced the manager credited with bringing Oba to Europe.

Apparently, Argentina score! My stream cut right as the sutff began to happen.
-
What happened? Stream cut off with a still picture of the ref taking the red card out.
-
Argentina haven't put together anything of note for quite a bit here.
-
He's come off the bench in almost every match for club and country. It's not as if he's not fit, he doesn't start.
-
My stream keeps switching between English and some unintelligible language. Wish it would decide.

This is awful. Much worse than many African matches that I have watched.

Bilic is fantastic. Blanc has annoyed me recently, so Im not as sympathetic as before.

You don't understand how angry Croatians are about this. Combined with the injuries to Modric and Eduardo, I'd really avoid mentioning English nationality around any of them at this point. There's one in my hall, and I've been avoiding him since the weekend.

Speaking of Davies: "The tibia and femur in Davies' right leg were broken. He also sustained facial fractures and a fracture in his left elbow in the accident, which took place at about 3:15 a.m. in the suburbs of the nation's capital." Nothing life-threatening, but I think that pretty much rules him out of the World cup and football in general for a good while. Shame, he's a very good player who I've taken note of ever since I saw him ripping up Nigeria at the Olympics.

Speaking of Corradi, I loved the one where he shot the Street fighter blue balls at the Asian on his team and then did the Street fighter uppercut.

Got to say, Spain's defence is pretty weak for a top side, imo. Especially the fullbacks. Capdevilla is rubbish. Even Sergio Ramos is a liability defensively at times.

Do you watch Barcelona?

When the hell did Cacau become German?! How the hell can we be barred from calling up Carlton Cole, yet Germany can call up Cacau? If you listen to some media reports, they have been. However, the simple answer to your question is that he was playing in Honduras a little over a year ago. Clubs might want to see if he can sustain his level over any decent period. He's been at Wigan for two and a half seasons, hasn't he? Of which the first 6 months was on loan and he only made one appearance. Must admit, I didn't check dates or anything. Maybe I got the dates wrong, but he is still unproven which can be a turn-off when you're 27-28.

Honestly, I find your posts kind of depressing. You have a problem on the wing, you go and splah a bit of cash on Robinho. Newcastle have a problem on the wing, we sell a winger and dont buy another. For what you're likely to pay for him, I don't think Robinho would be worth the cash. He has a bad attitude, but tbh, if there is one thing that can probaly shut him up, it's playing with the best players in the world.
