  1. Apparently, Argentina score! My stream cut right as the sutff began to happen.
  2. What happened? Stream cut off with a still picture of the ref taking the red card out.
  3. Argentina haven't put together anything of note for quite a bit here.
  4. He's come off the bench in almost every match for club and country. It's not as if he's not fit, he doesn't start.
  5. My stream keeps switching between English and some unintelligible language. Wish it would decide.
  6. This is awful. Much worse than many African matches that I have watched.
  7. Bilic is fantastic. Blanc has annoyed me recently, so Im not as sympathetic as before.
  8. You don't understand how angry Croatians are about this. Combined with the injuries to Modric and Eduardo, I'd really avoid mentioning English nationality around any of them at this point. There's one in my hall, and I've been avoiding him since the weekend.
  9. Speaking of Davies: "The tibia and femur in Davies' right leg were broken. He also sustained facial fractures and a fracture in his left elbow in the accident, which took place at about 3:15 a.m. in the suburbs of the nation's capital." Nothing life-threatening, but I think that pretty much rules him out of the World cup and football in general for a good while. Shame, he's a very good player who I've taken note of ever since I saw him ripping up Nigeria at the Olympics.
  10. Speaking of Corradi, I loved the one where he shot the Street fighter blue balls at the Asian on his team and then did the Street fighter uppercut.
  11. Got to say, Spain's defence is pretty weak for a top side, imo. Especially the fullbacks. Capdevilla is rubbish. Even Sergio Ramos is a liability defensively at times.
  12. When the hell did Cacau become German?! How the hell can we be barred from calling up Carlton Cole, yet Germany can call up Cacau? If you listen to some media reports, they have been. However, the simple answer to your question is that he was playing in Honduras a little over a year ago. Clubs might want to see if he can sustain his level over any decent period. He's been at Wigan for two and a half seasons, hasn't he? Of which the first 6 months was on loan and he only made one appearance. Must admit, I didn't check dates or anything. Maybe I got the dates wrong, but he is still unproven which can be a turn-off when you're 27-28.
  13. Honestly, I find your posts kind of depressing. You have a problem on the wing, you go and splah a bit of cash on Robinho. Newcastle have a problem on the wing, we sell a winger and dont buy another. For what you're likely to pay for him, I don't think Robinho would be worth the cash. He has a bad attitude, but tbh, if there is one thing that can probaly shut him up, it's playing with the best players in the world.

  15. Scored twice against champions Bordeaux. I'm not sure if he's scored since, but that was very very impressive.
  16. Svensson admits he can understand why a number of clubs are taking a keen interest in Ofere. "It doesn't surprise me at all. He is hot at the moment," said Ofere. What? Actually, I was going to criticise the journalist, but now I see it's written in some random Scandanavian language. Probaly a mistranslation Some terrible news: U.S. striker Davies injured in car accident -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charlie Davies, a striker for the United States national soccer team, was involved in a one-car accident early Tuesday in suburban Washington, D.C., in which another person was killed, a U.S. Soccer Federation spokesman said. Davies was in surgery Tuesday afternoon at Washington Hospital Center and in stable condition, U.S. Soccer said in a statement. The extent of his injuries were unknown, but U.S. Soccer spokesman Neil Buethe said they were not life-threatening. Davies, who also plays for the French first-division club Sochaux, was expected to require more than 5 hours of surgery. The U.S. national team was in Washington to play a World Cup qualifying match against Costa Rica on Wednesday. The team has already qualified for the 2010 World Cup. "Obviously, as a team we were saddened to learn this news," national team coach Bob Bradley said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and his family, as well as the people in the car and the families of the others involved. As a team, we are relying on each other in a moment that has for sure hit us all hard." The accident occured at about 3:15 a.m. ET Tuesday in the southbound lanes of the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Virginia. The U.S. Park Police identified the person who died as Ashley J. Roberta, 22, of Phoenix, Md. U.S. Park Police Sgt. David Schlosser said there were three people in the car and that Roberta was not the driver. Davies and another passenger were taken to Washington Hospital Center, one by land and one by helicopter, Schlosser said. "The car was pretty much split in half," Schlosser said, according to The Washington Post. Davies and another passenger were taken to Washington Hospital Center, one by land and one by helicopter, Schlosser said. Born in Manchester, N.H., Davies played for Boston College before turning pro in 2006. Davies has four goals in 17 international appearances and started Saturday when the U.S. won 3-2 at Honduras to clinch its sixth straight World Cup berth. He was a member of last year's American Olympic team. The U.S. team had an optional breakfast at its hotel Tuesday, and officials were informed of the accident around 11 a.m., just as Davies' surgery was about to begin. Bradley gathered the players before lunch and informed them of the news. Davies' teammates were not made available for comment. "Obviously, the players are saddened by the situation and, obviously, hope the surgery goes well for Charlie and that he has a quick recovery," Buethe said. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report. ------------- Hope he recovers. He really has starred for the US this summer and has done very well replacing Erding at Sochaux. Prayers are with him.
  17. As much as I like Geremi, he's finished as a footballer and should be one of the last players were turn to. Is Kadar fit/trusted at this level.
  18. The Swedish league is garbage. Success there really means nothing.
  19. 2 million?! That has to be some kind of joke. I understand he is a top scorer in Sweden, but so was Peter Ijeh, who was godawful. First of all there is no way in hell he gets a work permit. He 23 and has maybe 1 cap. I wouldn't mind us taking a risk on him, but for 2 million pounds, they can go screw themselves. It rubbish anyway.
  20. You'd be surprised how fast the money dries up...especially for those who are from poor backgrounds and have to support others. You look at someone like Djemba-Djemba and how he ended up where he is today.
  21. Not over the short distances. It is ridiculous for a man of that height to be able to accelerate in the way that he does, freak of nature/science that he is. Or (cough) applied science, do you not think? This is a tangent, but I think the recent success of all the Jamaicans is due to them catching up the US when it comes to steroids. I just hope we can catch up next. You'll be screwed though when the Yanks & Jamaicans also discover this anti-ageing drug. It's tiresome. And people wonder how footballers go bankrupt. He can't be on more than a few thousand pounds for week and he's riding around in a BMW and paid for custom plates.
  22. Isn't "y" a vowel in this case? You could replace it with an "i" and have the same effect.
