Dembele is far more effective than the 3 CM's they started last night. There was a lack of intensity and effort too, such bad mangement.

Hazard to run around a bit and try to skin players, when that doesn't work pump the ball into the 1 striker surrounded by countless defenders. And that midfield 3 were completely awful, how on earth Dembele doesn't start is beyond me.

I thought first half was as good as I've seen that team play, the balance was great, chances created, just basically didn't finish any of them. And Rooney was surprisingly excellent in that deeper role. The only gripes I have are that Kane is still on set pieces, Sterling should have been yanked earlier for wasting so many opportunities and Kane should have been subbed for Vardy as he was clearly shattered.

For too long we've tried to shoehorn the best 11 players into a side, much better to pick the 11 players who form the best team.
