thanks! so, do you think he (pearson) will/should stay? yes/yes me too! in spite of my "opacity" in earlier posts, i think it will be worth a look to see if pearson can do the thing on his own. i'd not rated pearson in the past but i respect him for what he did on wednesday, keeping the 2 strikers and wide players, i think pearson should sty as first team coach with shearer brought in as no 2.

he obviously has some coaching credentials and if he is a "comedian" then it will make the training ground a better place to be and help the players to enjoy themselves more and motivate them to play well.

Cahill? Decent player, but I wouldn't pay 10m for him. He's a c*** annal. good player, scores goals, dont give a s**** about his rep if he does the biz. £10m might be steep, but we've got Ashley n Keegan, and its not cheap to buy a goalscoring CM. all he does is gets into the box and scores when playing in a 4-5-1, cant tackle or pass, making him shit in a 4-4-2.

good prospect and model professional, should definatly stay in the team for the moment, although in the future we should look to have an alternitive right winger who is more about direct pace as a pose to milners clever trickery.

I like the idea of trying Rozehnal in the holding role, but Owen as a lone striker has never worked and will never work. If Viduka is too unfit and slow to play on Saturday, then throw Carroll in to partner Owen. I expect to see football played on the ground, but you don't have a player over 5'11 in front of Rozehnal. Against a physical team like Bolton, it won't work. The four men behind Owen are ample support.
