If he plays in DM then it weakens all behind him. We've seen that without Faye in defence we just look turd. cacapa is poor when people run at him with power and looks worryingly poor under the high ball. Rozehnal just isnt a good enough defender and taylor, while being a good defender, is far too rash at times. We need another Centre back and if fye is to become a dm then we may need 2. Also the only time N'Zogbia looks dangerous is when he has the ball in space on the wing. Centre of the park is too crowded for him and doesn't suit his natural desire to take on everything thats tries to stop him

That's exactly how I see Taylor. taylor is a brilliant prospect who gives everything for this club. hes not that slow, he doesn't give the ball away bringing it out and his judgement will come as he gets older. should be fighting with Faye and another for a first team place cacapa is poor in the air, slow and looks very shaky at times, should be kept as 4th choice with rozehnal out of the door.

as a defensive midfielder mascherano is miles better than carrick. Mascherano is a fantastic tackler and rarely misplaces a pass. the attacking midfielder should provide the creativity not the defensive player. Mascheranos passing is underrated, whereas carrick doesn't seem to want to dirty his shorts.

Considering the title of this thread is "Only limit is imagination" that list is distinctly unimaginative. Considering the money reportedly available for new recruits I would be pretty underwhelmed with anyone on that list apart from perhaps Richards. basically what i meant, cahill is very average apart from his goalscoring, barry wouldn't leave and arteta is too similar to milner as a right winger. as a cm he doesn't contribute alot and cant play with a dm or an am.

I like that list, but I think we could do with someone other than Crouch. Man City would love to sell both Dunne and Richards to us shows a lack of ambition, basically signing the best players from the cl chasing clubs, expensive and not going to work. we need plyers of real quality, not players of similar quality to our own
