If this had been conducted confidentially, would it have passed? I’m not arguing that it should have passed but we’ve clearly been treat in a different way to other tests. The process for this takeover needs dissecting to see what exactly went on. Oh, if it is dead as it seems Staveley needs to come out and say so. She might not think it’s been handled fairly but please stop the charade. If it isn’t dead she really needs to come out with something in response to that letter.

If we’re pissing in the wind then the consortium should have told us by now, if we are and they are simply allowing what would be charade carry on then that’s poor from their side. The media has by and large stayed well clear of all this, there’s a petition with 105,000 signatures to it, wanting to know wtf has been going on at the PL. You’d be forgiven to believe that everyone outside of the NE wants this brushed under the carpet and ignore it all. The club itself is now being damaged and is hugely disadvantaged whilst this farce is still being played out. It really is time that this was resolved one way or the other.

Reinstate beIN’s licence in SA, let them prosecute someone in SA for the past piracy and push like hell for the PL to make a decision. If the PL don’t take this opportunity to get new money into the PL and also make a huge step forward with stopping piracy then I guess everyone should be able to see that this failed for reasons other than the O&D test.
