  1. What game on Wednesday? Sorry Sheff Utd. Bit nuts I know, reckons the it kosher though
  2. Bit left field but, different bloke I know told me mate of his in the police says they were called into SJP to pre warn them that there is an expected announcement next week. The bloke isn’t a bull shitter and I know it’s a strange bit of news and could be simply notice that some idiots may turn up for the game on Wednesday. Anyways, the filth have been put on notice......
  3. Yeah, they ain’t going to buy a club in an effort to make a small profit by just surviving in the league. Success will bring its own rewards and success will be part of the 2030 plan. We may grow more organically but they’ll be wanting to win things.
  4. Heard a tale where he was told he’d be on the bench for a Saturday game due to injuries and he said he’d prefer not to as he had plans ?.
  5. Given that the WTO report is out next week I’m not expecting any real news this week. Hopefully they’ve had the almost complete findings already and have spent the last 2 or 3 weeks working through these in readiness.
  6. The Saudis will also have known that they’d have to make concessions and promises about piracy going into this. They’ll have planned for it and have put up the deposit in full knowledge of it, including that the WTO report was upcoming. Staveley’s and the Rueben’s legal teams must also have been informed of the issues and been confident that they’d pass. I’d find it incredible if they’ve completely misjudged the outcome.
  7. You’d have to be pretty simple to have had someone trying to do you for 2 years for illegal activity and then gamble 17M that those very people would let you join their club. That’s Ashley levels of stupidity.

    Euro 96

Gazza momentarily hesitates when he thinks the keeper will get a touch on it, otherwise he scores.
  9. I struggle to think how the PL, in its reasonable opinion, could come to the opposite opinion of the French courts. I don’t know what the burden of proof was in that case but for the PL to come down on the other side of the fence would a little surprising to me. The PL need new money coming in, they want to expand their brand, they can reduce piracy, they can even justify their decision based on the current rules. Can you imagine if this doesn’t go through, PIF buy Roma or some other club and that league starts to challenge the PL and other new money.
  10. Of course there's a benefit for the Saudis to get this done sooner, they can start getting key personnel in place and crack on with their plans for the club. Securing managers or players can only be done if they know for sure it is a done deal. The Saudis don't need the money in their pockets. If they did, they wouldn't be buying the club in the first place. They can do all that behind the scenes. Can’t do anything until the season restarts and there’ll be no upheaval until the season ends.
  11. If this WTO evidence is so compelling I’d be expecting them to take out new legal proceedings against SA. As it is surely the PL will ask for a response to the paper from SA and they’ll be able to provide a satisfactory reply. There’s no actual benefit for the Saudis to push this through any sooner than they have to, it’s money in their pockets. I’d imagine Mike is doing his dinger waiting for the money to come through.
  12. Guardian scare mongering again. WTO say there’s a clear legal link, the only actual legal test in a court I know of found otherwise. I know restart is the priority but the PL need to pull their finger out over this and if they find anything other than approving this I hope Amanda’s consortium take the PL to the cleaners.
  13. I’ll post this again, Post #985, would be a bit random for a bull shit post on another forum. https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/newcastle-united-2019-20-saudi-takeover-p30.341049/page-99
  14. Interesting post on Blue Moon earlier today: Hart of the Matter Joined:23 Jul 2011 Messages:3,101 A friend works in Newcastle press team and has been called in tomorrow out of the blue. May not be related but seems a coincidence.
  15. See the Reuben brothers come in 2nd in the latest rich list in Britain. Just the 16 billion, down 2 billion due to Covid. Their wealth alone is staggering. I can’t imagine the govt not wanting this to go through, the economic benefits to the region could be massive just at a time when govt needs as much help as possible, it’s a no brainer for them. As much as I can’t believe that we’d ever be in this position I can’t see why it could be refused, other than a complete stitch up. On another note and not that it makes any difference, I understand that Ashley is still in Miami, certainly that was the belief a couple of days ago.

Going to produce some funny results games without fans are pretty pointless. It’s made worse by being in an enormous stadium.
  17. Can’t imagine the govt knocking this back; we need as much trade as possible. We’ll sell you arms but you can’t have a football club, ok we’ll take our trade elsewhere.
  18. Bumped into the bloke I know on the football side of the club last night; none of them have a clue what’s going on at the minute. That’s to be expected. Something has quite clearly happened to delay this. The info I was given from the business side of the club almost 2 weeks ago I can absolutely vouch for in terms of the belief at that point. The PL will have their hands full with Restart at the moment and these delays are simply inviting opportunity for further objections. If it doesn’t get approved my feeling is that we’ve been done. Under the present rules there really shouldn’t be any doubt that this should pass, people may not like it, a lot of our own may not like it but, that’s by and by. Approve it and change the rules to tighten up future takeovers if you didn’t like this one.

Aye Grumpy does a lot of defending the finances, was a mouth piece for Riv during the Dell takeover piece and uses his knowledge to support his own beliefs (which is natural but hardly an unbiased view on things). There’s no doubt he very anti NUFC as well, can’t help himself.
  20. I’d rather have Lejeune over Stones, he’s certainly not a 30M upgrade on him. Stones has got some serious flaws in his game and hasn’t improved these at City. That’s a real concern. Mad that this is even been discussed tbh.
  21. Beginning to wish I had kept my mouth shut ?. I only ever post stuff that has either come to me first hand from someone I sometimes bump into on the football side or where I’m confident that it is reliable info from somewhere else. This info came from somewhere else, at that point of contact I casually asked for names and positions held at the club so I could see if they held up and call bull shit if they didn’t. The name and position matched. The info didn’t come through a long line of people. Deals like this can presumably fall through even when one or both of the party’s believe it’s all finally done. I’ve passed on what that belief was on Friday. Fingers crossed.
  22. Nickson has been back at work for a couple of weeks and no, it hasn’t come through him or anyone on the coaching side.
  23. As I said on Friday if my info is a wind up it’s in pretty poor taste. It came to me through a very close family member and to that family member by a very close family member of someone in a position of responsibility at the club. I have the name but please don’t ask for it. Doesn’t mean it’s bull shit. The buyers side may be being a bit more cautious, I was simply told that Charnley said it was all done.
  24. Reliable source or you actually know? From the risk team at Barclays. It's second hand info I concede but I 100% trust that I'm not on the end of a wind up myself. Reason they would be informed is in the covenant for the loan/overdraft - change of ownership in the business is a material event. Does nothing for the timing mind, still got to keep glued to SSN for that That timing kind of fits in with what I was told on Friday. Charnley I’m told rang the club on Friday after the PL meeting to say that it was all approved and that they were waiting for the rest of the funds to be released. I’m aware of who was told this by Charnley and it came to me via a chain of only 2 other people, no friend of a friend type of chain either. I’m still hoping we hear something this week but if Friday was the approval day then the money transfer may not have started any process until Monday. Here’s hoping, I’ll be gutted now if this gets stopped. Weren’t caulkin and others told checks where still ongoing this week though ? My info comes from the club side, they believe it’s all approved. Caulkin’s info will be coming from Staveley.
