Indeed - and how many board members of public companies are on two years notice - there would be a lynching at most AGMs if they got away with that. And how many public companies manage to exist with one independent non executive director - who is in fact the personal tax advisor of one of the other directors so er maybe isn't really very independent at all.

Luque is probably on about £45,000 a week. No other club will pay him that and he has already turned down moves that offered him less - so he's staying and its a no brainer really - try and get something out of him on the pitch. Don't know how much of what has happened to Luque so far has been down to Roeder's poor man management and how much is down to the player's attitude to be honest. I wouldn't question Sam's ability to man manage so its up to Luque to prove himself now.

All well and good, but it was Shepherd Jr who went and sorted the Luque transfer on the club's behalf - and Shepherd Jr who's been running the club while Freddy's on the sick. Does anyone still wonder why we "paid" so much for Luque (not to mention Boum?)? This

Does anyone wonder whether the Willie Mckay statement that we offered Sibs a one year deal is a pile of dung and is just a spin to make Sibs appear to be wanted? Or am I just becoming too cynical?

Have the people on here who don't want Viduka actually seen him play? Unlike Ameobi and Sibs he does actually have a decent first touch and can pose a threat to good Premiership defences. If we can have him on a free then its a no brainer imho.

Think it may be a question of who do you trust against Malbranque.
