  1. The club's PR is a disaster, man.
  2. How amateur is that. Despicable.
  3. An unnecessary signing to attempt.
  4. Tiote for most games. Cheik's a useful player to have in games where you need to relieve pressure but we don't need him all the time. Tiote Cabaye Sissoko If we're playing the likes of Chelsea then I'm happy with that but against West Ham at home for example, it should be: Sissoko Cabaye Marveaux
  5. Jackanackanory's decent, Altidore's alright but a big risk and the rest are just squad players.
  6. I'm not worried or envious, the majority of the the players they've bought aren't that good. They'll improve but I don't see them in top 10 with their current squad.
  7. The sad thing is, Sissoko with one of Cabaye or Tiote would work a lot better than the way Pardew usually does it. Anyway, hopefully Sissoko was just burnt out because he was suddenly made the main man in a new league and that led to his dip in form, he can now share some attacking responsibility with HBA. One thing he stopped doing towards the back end of last year was pass the ball in good positions. He played some lovely through balls when he first came but then barely did any for the last 10 games, that has to improve.
  8. Nope, which makes it all the more baffling.
  9. 4-2-3-1 is fine as long as we're reaosonably fluid and dynamic. Sissoko's influence won't need to be as great with HBA back in the team.
  10. Very disappointing. I was hoping Marveaux would claim that spot and Tiote would be benched and kept for certain games. Here's to hoping that Sissoko returns to his earlier form. Carr mustn't be happy mind, it's pretty clear Sissoko is a central midfielder and has played 95% of his recent career games there, not on the wing.
  11. The problem is money. Youth development has been put on the back burner in this country as the 'quick fix', to simply buy who you want, has come in. Youth development is a big problem in this country, our strategy compared to the likes of Germany's is a joke.
  12. Can't we just tailor whoever partners Colo to the opposition we're playing?
  13. Taylor's a good defender when marshaled, he's useless when he's the one who has to do the leading however.
  14. QPR are in no position to negotiate, cheeky twats. They can't even afford Taylor anyway.
  15. It is, but its very similar to soundbites last season "we lacked control" he hasnt shown anything that suggests he can rectify it. He's in desperate need of a top class coaching set up behind him, which we dont have We'll see this year if he can rectify it, admitting we were too worried about opponents is a step forward in my eyes and was a huge part of the problem last season.
  16. Same, I found that interview pretty reassuring although I expect mocking for saying so on here. The big question is why he couldn't arrest our slide last season, and whether he can really implement what he wants to do. I imagine last year, he simply bottled the second half of the season. Either he or the players did. Either way, the riskier attacking route wasn't taken and it was simply about getting points on the board. I think he's the type of manager that needs a good start because he won't lead well when the pressure's really on.
  17. Good to hear his comments about needing to be less fearful of the opposition, I was hoping the break would provide a chance for him to reflect and relax a little and it seems as if the penny has dropped. I've got faith that he'll try and execute it, I can understand why some are cynical however.
  18. Just not at all sold on this, even if he is a decent player. Remy and 2 wide men capable of playing on the left is our best option. Having Cisse, Gouffran and Remy available for the central spot would be sufficient, all are strikers that can get 10+ goals.

    Loïc Remy

He's a steal at the price suggested. I'd like him here unless he's a legit rapist, of course.
  20. He has some limitations to his game in terms of technique which means he's a player that can only go so far but for where we are now, we'd struggle to find better options. He has some excellent attributes that we need more of in our squad, mainly pace and good, intelligent movement off the ball.
  21. No offence, but you really didn't stand a chance as long as Dortmund agreed a fee. Mkhitaryan loves playing football above anything, and, at present, there's no better club for players with that kind of mentality than BVB. O Absolutely. to play for CL finalists, or a team with no European football is a no brainer. The thing that gets me is that, most journos are saying we were never allowed to even speak to the player because of 3rd party ownership stuff initially (before BVB came in) and his agent kept giving us false signals. 3rd party ownerships are okay in Germany, so all BVB had to do is agree a fee with Shakhtar and that's that. Best of luck to him though. He sounds like a very sound and committed player and is going to a very likeable team. will follow him closely this season. Fair play, I agree. He's an interesting player, Dortmund are going to be an exciting force again next year, if potentially more inconsistent. If anyone can get the unit functioning quickly and to great effect, it's Klopp.

  23. He plays on the left mainly but can go either side. He's a better option than Gouffran for the wing because he can beat his man consistently, Gouff's good cover for that left forward role though and is handy competition for Cisse in the middle. Stupidly, I'm getting myself excited that this could happen.
  24. We're OK at centre back, 2 wide men and another striker are of the utmost importance.
  25. Would be an excellent addition to the squad.
