  1. On a positive note, beautiful cross for the non-goal.
  2. Such ignorance on display again, do people never learn? Wasn't even a pen anyway.
  3. Just hope Harry doesn't switch formations or tactics at half time...
  4. Stepped up when it mattered. Obviously not fit but his self belief makes a big difference when a team's under pressure like ours.
  5. You sire, are an absolute fucking mug.
  6. This is literally his only fucking answer, we need a win so moar strikers!
  7. Some form of admission, a start at least. Interesting what his real views on this season are. Although banging on about Sissoko being some number 10 is still a tad infuriating, it doesn't work Alan, let it go.
  8. It doesn't matter if Debuchy plays behind Hatem, with MYM playing at left back we can easily use the cover system, especially with Tiote sitting in front of the defence as well. We need to score goals, Debuchy brings far more to the table in that regard.
  9. Players are pretty much obligated to say stuff throughout the season, yes it's often just soudnbites but how often do people speak transparently in football? If he said nothing then he'd be criticised for that. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  10. The article's comments make for sad reading, people lapping the French stuff up. Good to see they're looking to Holland and Belgium though, there are some good options available there. Hopefully there's no incomings that disrupt the team too much, the whole Ba/Cisse thing last year is a situation i'd like to see us avoid.
  11. I think a big thing for MYM has been this is his first move. He was very comfortable at Montpellier having played there for so long and now he's been completely shifted out of his comfort zone into unknown territory. I think it was against Fulham where he smacked the ball up the pitch to nobody when he had ample time to just pass it, he just seems nervy.
  12. Fair enough, apologies, it was only the apparent lack of acknowledgement of the context that I thought was unfair. I don't think because he's been very iffy in possession at times that's completely indicative of his overall ability on the ball, it's just a matter of getting used to the different factors that come in this league. I've certainly been surprised at how sloppy he's been at times but I'm sure once he gets his head round it that it will improve, we'll just have to see.
  13. Ronaldo's so quick to judge, man. M'Biwa's a very good footballer who's had to adjust to the league, you can see he'd had his confidence knocked by the pace. You only to see how well he played at left back on Saturday as a sign of is on-ball ability. He was extremely comfortable in possession in all types of scenarios, going forward, when under pressure etc.
  14. It could be MON or McLeish
  15. Probably to everyone's benefit, including his own. Indeed.
  16. He's going to be Fergie's bitch over the next year or two. David Moyes, manager of one of the biggest clubs in the world, it just doesn't sit right with me.
  17. What a pathetic headline The article's not much better, talk about journalistic spin.
  18. The worrying thing about Pardew is that he still hasn't got this team to look like a cohesive unit on a consistent basis all season. Forget set pieces for now, simply looking like a well balanced football team that defend to a decent standard, keep the ball to some degree and threaten the opposition goal would be fantastic. It all started with the unnecessary pissing around with formations at the beginning of the year. Players lost confidence and form, the team lost momentum, Pardew made comical decisions under pressure and we've been playing catch-up ever since. He's still fiddling about as well, shitting himself when we've had 2 attacking full backs starting which led to the front 6 being messed about (see Liverpool), using Sissoko as some pseudo-striker and constantly bringing Shola on no matter the opposition. We looked a lot better last week because we went back to basics but was that a result of injuries? I'm hoping the Summer can clear his head and having less pressure will see him return to a calmer place where he makes rational decisions.
