Newcastle United vs. Aston Villa - 29/10/22 @ 3:00pm (No UK TV)

Their team from the weekend looks decent but has some proper weak links defensively, like. -
Christ, Twitter is exhausting. Also, this bait doesn't even work considering Emery managed PSG.
-
That's a good appointment for them. Bring it on!
-
Lowest ever time in play for a PL game is 39 minutes. Fucking hell
-
That stat above is absolute shite or the 'set a new record' line is total bullshit. The average time in play stat for last season was 55 mins.
-
So, I know from friends in the community that these things can be seen as pretty shallow corporate platitudes but I still really don't like this at all. Not taking part sends a terrible message. NUFC's community values should not be defined by the owners.

Would love to see him as an 8 in these types of games still. Just feels like he has to do a lot of firefighting in that deeper role. What a man.

We've adjusted very well since 15 mins in. Closed up the central space much better and been more controlled with the press. Even if we hold on for a 2-2, this'd be a great result considering their home form. Fucking Miggy. The change is incredible. -

FUCK -
I think it was Mbappe.
-
No, it was an earlier phase of play where they went shoulder-to-shoulder on the touchline.
-
Love the lad as a personality but he was an obvious weak link last night along with Murphy. His work off the ball is generally good but he has lapses in concentration & is prone to getting done. However, his need for the extra second on the ball a lot of the time is what really kills him - often slows down attacks or leads to losing possession.
-
Onana was alright but pretty ineffectual for such a physical presence, tbh. The moment Almiron knocked him off the ball was pretty embarrassing for him.
-
It's just a bizarre take. He admits Klopp's behaviour wasn't on but says Howe can't have an opinion on it because Saudi. He also seems to be annoyed by the fact that he's answering a question.
-
Is Auclair alright? 'a midget'
-
He's been very heavily strapped up recently and his movement seems laboured. Definitely think he's playing through something.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Nervous first 2 minutes but was great from there. -
Sven Botman: targeting a return before Christmas (Howe)

He did all the fundamentals excellently but was inconsistent on the ball. Still, his primary job was a fucking good one. -
Absolutely incredible move.
-
We're definitely managing the squad with intensity during this fixture run, like. Dropped off quite a bit second half and basically walked them down. 1 shot from them is absolutely pathetic.

Journalists who have been crowing about whataboutism for the last year now using whataboutism is laughable, like. Howe is sensible and will just ignore it - he's not here to seek anyone else's validation and that's the right approach. Surprised Klopp's comments are still raging on. Seeing fans of billionaire-owned clubs saying that they're 'normal' and it's now unfair to compete with someone even richer is a fucking joke. The deal with the devil was made long ago.

Wilson is a huge plus for a match like this. He's Ba-like in his ability to win battles for small spaces and getting onto the end of things as a result. -

I'd love to see Anderson start as the left forward but I think he'll stick with Murphy. Only other change I'd make is Willock in for Longstaff - they've got an athletic & combative midfield that we need to match. Bruno will be key to success. -

Thought it was weird how we tired in the second half. I wondered if Howe had told players to conserve energy for the run of games (coupled with us having a thin squad) but he mentioned there's been some illness in the team so maybe it was that.
