Want to see Almiron on the left for this one.

Glad he actually got the ball in some decent areas again today, as he's been so deep in so many games this year - don't think it's a coincidence that happened with Saint-Maximin on the other side taking some of the pressure off to move the team forward. He's definitely more of an inside forward/playmaker, so I'm optimistic that having a proper wide man consistently in the side will allow him to play more of his natural game.

He'll be frustrating as but I like him a lot.

Longstaff looks worryingly far from a Premier League player, at the moment.

He's obviously got something about him, imo, but we're so far away from being set up to provide what he needs. Same with Almiron.

Heads well down now. This is where it really begins.

He so rarely receives the ball in even half decent situations.

Starting 11 looked so devoid of confidence. Feel for Almiron, he barely spends any time in the final third. You could see what something just a bit fresh did for the team to at least get a foothold in the match. Ultimately, we look directionless and timid.

Thought Almiron was quite decent for the first 30 of the second half but was blowing out of his arse for the last 15/20. He comes too deep (not necessarily caused by him, and he is effective at getting moves linked) and needs to manage his energy better.

Quite surprised he didn't throw Shelvey on to try and open them up more in the last 20. We seemed quite happy to settle for a point.

Better side but that's not saying much. We had a good 15-minute spell in the second half, but then we appeared to lose most of our energy, despite the fact that this is the fittest the team has eva been.

Today was class. Support behaved well and it was a good performance - we look so comfortable playing that way (shock) and the overall shape was much more balanced. Away days are the only time I feel like recognise the club as I came to know it, as long as the kids aren't being total knobs.

Think he'll break his duck next week. Looks very comfortable in general play now. He's class.

It's simply a poor system that's asking players to do things they're not naturally inclined to do.

He'll get better as he adjusts, but he'll do exceptionally well get 10+ under Bruce. Far too much emphasis placed on him this year.

Screams of lazy assumption that it'd keep us protected, and then Almiron and Joelinton can be freed/stay further up for counters. 5-2-3 is needed.

3 midfielders needs to go ASAP for us to have any chance this year. Should be no reason for it with 5 at the back. Not like we even have any attacking box-to-box mids anyway.
