Absolutely. The composure was astonishing too. Done week in and week out at La Liga
-
very impressive tonight... i guess his goal closing the debate about deflected goal at his last game. very perfectly placed goal.

That was worth the wait. Child Brutality

Wash your mouth out with soap and water. I don't see how any team willing to put five out-and-out attacking players in midfield/up front at once can be accused of playing like Liverpool. In terms of personnel, they were incredibly attacking tonight. Yep. I thought Van Basten was reckless to sub on Arjen Robben & Van Persie with a lead, but it worked well for them. They have been the most positive side of the tournament so far, including Portugal. Ditto! i was thinking the same it was reckless act... but it goes other ways. the reason we did not see holland look like dominating match is because they did not play possession football ala barca etc. which playing the ball circling through midfield. Holland simply playing "instant kill" football

So Lampards certainly gone then. I'd be happy with that if i was a chelsea fan! ehem... you mean arsenal fans?
-
i am not particularly happy if we sign him... makes my hand itchy to slap keegan

1 million with 30% discount + a bonus of alan smith

Agreed france keeper looked crap... hopefully spuds get him
-
dunno about that... and also i very tempted to buy van bronckhorst... to mature our dear enrique
-
turan no world beater... but he's canny enough... derdiyok fast & technically good.... boulahrouz... experience defender... would like to give him chance better than chelsea did engelar(?)... composed DM volkan... useful goalkeeper all i mention... i believe are on our reach
-
I really wonder if the Stoke manager was referring to Gomis when he said he was no better than what Stoke had! I'm sure Gomis is a lot better than he showed, but we probably do need a more technical striker to replace Viduka. Derdiyok is a must...
-
he did average today.... but he miles better than lennon or milner
-
He does, tbh. Ditto! not even worth 1 million
-
not impressed me at all.... better derdiyok

Fair enough I've looked at some info and can see that Tuncay played as both a striker and a left winger. Its fair to say that Tuncay's overall goal record in Turkey is a touch better then Turan's at the moment, but I've got no idea what Tuncay's record was at 21 and Turan can only improve.. i thought turan was better on the assist also?
-
Rossi is easily that worth IMO.... reasonable also Villarreal reject it because they will have Champion League next season... Nihat & Rossi easily the most skillful forward partnership last season at La Liga
-
I thought he looked dodgy as f***. nope... did the right thing by punching the ball always... at wet surface... the first game i though he's canny also...not world class goalkeeper but certainly better than the likes of robinson
-
Volkan seem canny goalkeeper though...
-
Ditto! milner better for cash... SWP & Lennon came sprung to mind with those money we got but i won't reject at all milner for alonso... which eventually the player reject us
-
MON should ask alonso + cash

Had a decent game, looked lively and scored the winner at the death. Like it being deflected makes any difference. He had an ok game, not bad, but also no wanking material either (as it seems to some). Why do deflected goals not make a difference? Nobody wants to take the goal away from him, but 'keeper would probably have saved it otherwise, so it was less a matter of skills than of luck. 9m is overpriced imho anyway and I can't see any increase of value just based on this performance (which would be ridiculous anyway, even if he had played really well). How the hell do you know? He struck the ball well and for all we know it could have flown past the keeper without any deflection. Because the 'keeper was already diving down in the right direction and the ball didn't have any real pace? It was hardly a wonder strike and I'd be pretty unhappy if the ball would have went in undeflected tbh. The shot had plenty of pace, and while the keeper was diving it was anything but clear that he'd have gotten to the ball. Unless you see a top down view of the incident you've got no idea to be honest, you're just making assumptions. Of course it is an assumption. It's what I (and the people I was watching the game with) thought after watching the slow motion though. The 'keeper would have (hypothetically) had a better chance to save it without the deflection, which was the original point, i.e. being a deflection making a difference... to be fair even it's deflected... he did make clever run into swiss defenders... right? that's which makes the different though.... everybody talking about his deflected goal but less counting on how he make it....
-
this guy clearly got something... yes he is not pacey one... but his positioning was incredible (typical clever player)... anytime i see him he got himself clear space... if it wasn't his team mate was trusted more on shit tuncay... he'll be hell of performance... he was many time alone but not much passes going into him

Holland! Will flop in the knockout rounds imo. If they can play like they did against Italy in their next game I think they've got a shout. Neeee chance... do portugal has striker? Yes, but he's playing out on the wing. 20 goals in internationals, they need to drop Nuno Gomes, he isn't up to much and just play with a front 3 thats interchanging. Could work well. wahey.... did Fergie do that and hasn't been working on Champion League?
