People wonder why these things take time. That point there is all based on the opinion on the board, not a cold hard fact. If it's about opinions these things will be discussed at great length. Anyone know how many people at the PL will be involved in this ?

They have been pretty good over the years at getting updates about signings and such and for them to actually come out and say that is pretty significant. They are usually the first to rubbish things also. They must have some contacts I would imagine. Signings is one thing but the purchase of a club, with NDA's etc, are they likely to have a contact that high up and in such a tight circle of people who are genuinely involved ? Couldn't tell you they may contact high up or may not have. One thing I do know is they don't usually post stuff unless they think it's correct. Time will tell but I personally think it's pretty significant. As I said earlier they have poured cold water on takeover talk pretty much all the way through. We can but hope Could feel like another long week.

Progressing as planned? It’s still with the PL and nobody knows when they approve the deal. Yep. As expected. It was estimated that PL would take this amount of time to clear as they are concentrating on a plan for the next 2 seasons. It’s all still good news. Thank you for the information that we already had.

I swear that every day that passes moves the completion date 2 days further away. Even Sisyphus would have gone "Nah, this is just getting silly" by now. Going to be another long week.

What you don't appear to be grasping is that it's possible that the PL have completed their checks but that it isn't public knowledge yet. Just because you've been told something by journalists close to the buyers, doesn't necessarily mean that is exactly where things stand. I'd also doubt that the first public statement comes from GC; it'll come more NUFC if anyone. I give up I think it’s pretty fair to be 99% assured of where things are when that info comes directly from the buyers side, like. You know, rather than just “having a feeling that it’s done and dusted” like some posts have said in the last 24 hours ? Your mistake was coming on here like some ITK when all you did was say what was already public knowledge and what we all knew anyway.
