I know what I'd be doing if I was him. Honestly, who the hell wants to actively play for our club. I just can't work it out.

Talk this morning of the FA Cup Final is really fucking me off. Just another reminder that we'll not be involved in anything like this for a long time.

It'll suddenly all be Ashley's fault for not backing Steve. Don't forget Staveley/PIF for the massive distraction this whole sorry affair has caused 100% Mad how you can see how this is going to pan out but can do nothing about Think Mojo said it in another post. The feeling of helplessness is awful.

Tomorrows chip wrappers. There will no damage to their integrity. We are small fry so the news will be forgotten soon enough. No one cares. Don’t think it’s as simple as that. If Staveley’s claims are true then they should be transparent with their reasoning and stop hiding. If Staveley’s talking bullshit, it’s in their best interest to say as such surely? Who cares about what she is saying though, apart from us. No one cares about whether there is any truth in what she says. Fans and media are too busy laughing at us to care about the truth. I'd love you to be right and for this to drag out into something legal but we just don't hold any weight as a club or fanbase.

We've been here before but the only thing that could possibly have an impact would for fans to simply not go to games. An empty stadium/away section will have an impact. As we know though, that just isn't going to happen, ever.

Unless they are loans, with the parent club continuing to pay the salaries, forget it.

On what basis would they take legal action considering the PL craftily never actually rejected the bid? Taking 4 months to do a 1 month process could easily constitute as being wilfully negligent. Not when there isn't a set time frame. Then they'd claim difficulties due to COVID-19, Project Restart etc. I have no legal knowledge at all but I can't see that there's anything to throw at them. They have already said that the pandemic and project restart did not affect the takeover process. Even if it did, they have publicly said it didn’t, and that would be used against them. The buyers will no doubt have stacks of evidence to show that the process was going ahead as planned and that they cooperated and fulfilled the obligations. They never rejected it though. They could easily say, as has been suggested by GM, "Oh, we were just about to approve it when you withdrew from the bid" I have every confidence that the PL have covered their arses well and truly.
