Very much so. The fans have effectively landed a punch and 10,000 of them are letting Ashley recover.

I'm interested to see how easily the free ticket holders give up going once they've endured a couple of games of Bruce's free flowing football and the results start to reflect the performances.
-
It'll take a lot for him to leave, of that I agree. However, the free ticket offer is proof that the empty seats have rattled him. We can only dream of how he might react if another 10,000 were empty. The freebies prove that the fans have the power and ability to get to him.

You need to read Twitter more.

No credit at all. You've said it yourself that it's similar to the 5th place season. The following season proved that we finished 5th in spite of Pardew, not because of him. Give over. Yeah Pardew was shit overall, but he deserved some credit for the season we finished 5th, as does Bruce for having a decent start to his time here. I'm sure the wheels will come off eventually (as they did with Pardew), but you can't say whenever we win, it is in spite of the manager. Yes you can when it’s true. Pardew deserves zero credit. The fella was a fraud and so is this guy. Bruce will soon be on the same scrapheap that Pardew finds himself on and rightly so. Time is up for the likes of them in footballing terms. Christ. Some right miserable cunts in here I'm as happy as a sandboy in life but in a purely football context, is it any wonder that people are miserable. There's nothing to be positive about with regards to NUFC and it hurts. I get that. But if you can't get any enjoyment at all from winning a match, I wouldn't bother following football at all. I don't support Bruce as the manager, but he has done much better than I expected thus far. To be honest, I don't bother to follow football any more, not with any real interest. I don't watch any football on TV, never mind NUFC matches. I'm on here a lot as I enjoy the community and of course because the club is in my blood and I cannot let go, but Ashley has managed to kill my love for the sport which has been my life for the last 40 years. I cannot separate NUFC winning a match from it being a success for Mike Ashley. If you can, then fair play to you.

Let's compare at the end of the season.

Don't have any graphs but we're 9 points better off than at this stage last season. We hit 21 points against Cardiff, which was our 22nd game. Think we will tail off massively if ASM is out for a couple of months. Interesting all the same. We'll tail off massively because of Steve Bruce, regardless of injuries.

Burnley vs Newcastle United Saturday 14th December (Kick Off 3pm No TV)

We'll start with 9 men, play fucking terribly, have 1% possession, and win 0-8 -
No one hates the team itself (i would guess) but it's the club that people want to implode. The 2 unfortunately can't be separated. Sadly, I can't celebrate this team winning when it means Ashley wins as a consequence.

He'll get a bollocking from Ashley soon. He's getting dangerously close to Europe. That is not in his remit.
-
I'm sure he's been a good poster but for some reason went a bit radgie in quite a few threads last night.

Have never heard anyone call it the sports direct arena in my life Clearly bollocks You ever been outside the north east? New people I meet in the midlands ask me from time to time if that is still what it is officially called. It's very much used as a point of ridicule. I live in the Midlands No one calls it that. Like literally ever. Bore off So unnecessarily childish You're talking shite though. Moron Sometimes, you might have to accept that some people are telling the truth.

I know it doesn't tell us that the year they won it, they didn't have a team like Liverpool beating everyone in their path. They'll finish 2nd though I think. Hope they do.
