I think the new signings will produce some results and points up until around Christmas when I think we'll go into a tail spin and a dreadful run of results.

I’ll not know until Sunday, I boycotted Spurs and was one of only around 15 who went in late last season in the Milburn Paddock but I’m more inclined to go on Sunday. Ashley is the disease I don’t want my club to die as a result and they’re will be players out there on Sunday who need our support and are the future. Might sound contrived but there you go, I can certainly boycott in the future if I decide otherwise on Sunday. If they're good, they aren't our future. Absolutely right. Also, if fans not being there and not supporting makes them unhappy then that's a good thing. An unhappy dressing room gives Bruce and Ashley a headache.

Under Rafa, how often was a premier League attendance under 50K? If it's under for the arsenal game, I take it as an indication of a decline. Bruce's management and the results will take things from there

The quality of the squad is a million miles from the one that got Pardew to 5th. Absolutely no chance that'll happen this season. Bruce is worse than McClaren. At least McClaren had had a modicum of success. Bruce can't be anything other than a disaster.

Getting relegated and staying down (even relegated again) is unchartered territory for Ashley and the one last remaining hope (as far as I am concerned) that he might sell. Continued lack of PL money coming in could be the thing that tips the balance. It may be unlikely but it's the only hope we have. He's never selling while we are in the PL. It's too comfortable a gravy train for him to want to get off.
