Fucking brilliant that players are backing Rafa and are prepared to get the club penalties for not talking to the media. Players hold all the power these days so once they start going against Ashley, he's fucked in terms us maintaining our place in the Premier League. It's all downhill once the players don't give a shit.

Rafa can spend the season publicly criticizing the hierarchy which will wind Ashley up. Rafa last tactic/option is to possibly draw Ashley into doing or saying something stupid which might reignite the discussions with Staveley. It's probably very unlikely but it's Rafa's last option. I think he's staying as long as he can to fight on behalf of the fans.

I can't imagine he gets stressed at all to be honest. He cares not one jot about human life and has all the power and wealth that he could ever want so what's he to get stressed about.

Really ? I think Rafa is 100% right to only sign after the money has been spent. Ashley simply wouldn't follow through with any promises. Even then, he should only be looking to sign something like a 1 year rolling contract. If I was Rafa, there's no way that i'd commit to 3 years.

I'm sure this must have been asked but is Rafa's use of Instagram his way of advertising himself to other clubs ?

Money is the only language he knows so for me it's back to hoping for multiple relegations. I'm not convinced that he'd sell us even then, as say a League One club, but at least the cunt wouldn't be making money from us. The more the club costs him the better.

I don't believe that there have been worse times than this. It's all relative of course. In previous times, like the years under Gordon McKeag, in general, there wasn't much to be positive about and we'd didn't know if success was ever possible. Now, we have a world class manager and the potential to be one of the biggest clubs in this country. We've seen under Keegan what we can be. We are so close to being a fantastic club. For me, that makes these times the most despairing during my lifetime. I've been going since 1980.

this is exactly the type of thing this new group should be pushing imo....people will think they can't cancel their DD but they need telling they can the moment the window slams shut and we've no players Right, that's me in.
