I know what you know mean. Even people from West Lond arent cockney's but I think its just always been a lazy way for people in the north east to refer to people from the south (or at least the surrounding areas of London). With there not being any specific label for people from those counties, to bunch them all in with the london/cockney label has just been easy. No offence meant

You hear people quite often on the radio (and I would say then if they are in broadcasting its very poor) refer to anyone from the North East as Geordie's. Of course its factually untrue but its just an easy way of reference so that people know what or who they are talking about. Nothing worth getting offended about i wouldnt have thought.

I think your taking the use of the term too literally mate When people use the term "cockney", they arent thinking in their heads "someone born within the sound of the bow bells"... its just an easy way of making reference to where they are from, i.e. the South

I think it is finished. The fans can shout all they like but the atmosphere within the club and at training, I can only imagine is dreadful and negative. This negativity will filter to the pitch on match day and will massively affect performances. You think it'll be like this all season long? I honestly do. I have a nasty feeling that Wise is going to take control of the team as I cant see any other manager being daft enough to take the job on. I think that will have a negative effect on the players and its fairly obvious what the reaction is going to be from the fans in the stands.
