Regardless of which way the fans face, Dennis Wise will think he is being stared at by 52,000 arseholes anyway
-
I thought Gianluca Vialli would have been a good choice in the past but when he went to Watford, it turned out he was fucking wank.
-
They probably thought they were finally going to see something worth spending their hard earned cash on.
-
Tellingly, no one has any idea about any of it but I am sure someone will tell us what his real list was. The paranoia of what relly happened is going to drive us all insane

Privilege and an honour. Give me a break.

Couldnt have put it better myself

I hope where it doesnt get to the stage where we end up rushing the appointment and give said new manager so many millions just because he was the only option prepared to take the job on

Guess you dont accept Nixon's apology then

Someone from the North West said to me today "Aye. Keegan likes to splash the cash a bit doesnt he". So if we are to believe that KK refused all the unknown younger talent in a bid or a hope to get Ashley to splash the cash on a more established player(s) (and not the ridiculous Lampard type players that that shite story suggested), then the blame for me lies with : 1) Keegan for being too stubborn and set in his ways and looking to sign "stars" but more importantly 2) Ashley for a) not doing his background work on Kevin enough to think that this is the type of Manager he might be and b) for not making this abundantly clear at the initial interview and if necessary, putting it in his contract. I am fucking fed up with this club making the wrong choice of manager and if KK is fault for his ideas for the team and transfers, then Ashley still gets the brunt of my anger for not choosing his man correctly. Unless there was an alterier motive for bringing in the "Messiah" (hello Mr Cynic)
-
Only just flitted through this but the general gist I am getting from this is that we are suggesting that Kevin was acting in a way that would jeopardise this club's season and basically fuck us over. If it true, and to be fair from a lot of the point I have read its perfectly feasible, then the man would seriously go down in my estimation but I guess I have to ask myself, would he do something like that and for what reason?
-
But none of this happened, so what was the point again? I think it's a fairly obvious one that it's less about the "system" and more about the personalities involved. Whether it's valid is another question. You know I spent ages trying to word a reply to that because in essence I know what he is trying to say but its such a ridiculously hypothetical scenario, its pointless arguing over. Because of course it would never have kicked of had he brought in Wise to be Manager over Keegans head !

Name me one, just one Newcastle fan who would take either Curbishley or O'Leary over Terim. I have no particular reason to want Terim myself, but at least he is not on my 'not in a million years' list. You beat me to that. To suggest any fan would want Curbishley or O'Learly is madness.

You cant possibly say that you can enjoy whats happening at the moment. No ones dedication should be called into question but you cant just blindedly avoid whats happening at boardroom level. There are always going to be decisions that we dont go along with but these latest events are just taking them all to a new level. They are making the club a total laughing stock (even more than usual if thats possible) and more than ever it appears that they are taking the piss out of the fans Its not likely to be "our turn" any day soon I am afraid
-
Can only assume that Fergie was left alone to do his job as Manager of the club and was confident that he had the ability to turn it around. No exactly the same scenario as Kevin's sadly

Anyone have any idea of what KK's win ration was after his first 8 months in charge ?
-
On Talksport, I have just heard an advert for the Saturday commentary match. they are doing our match They have done the advert using the voices and theme tune from Rainbow (Zippy, George and Bungle). Cunts taking the piss already (thats how I interpreted it anyway).

Dont you believe it mate : " It is a fact that NUFC is a business and operates, like all businesses, with financial constraints." He will see weekly/monthly figures like every other business. He knows what this club is like for its shirt and club shop sales. If he sees a drop in the figures he is going to start asking questions of people. No way will he just say "ah well, not to worry". Is there a new shirt due out next summer ? Be a fly on the wall when they dont start selling. So perhaps he may not worry about it directly, but someone somewhere, is going to have to answer to him as to why the sales figures are down. He spends money like there is no tomorrow because, in the past, he has been a ruthless bastard when there has been fluctuations in his business figures.

This is what fucks me off the most. Someone once said to me that when there are problems with something at work, its so easy to hide behind emails and just pass details on that way. While no one wants to make the "bad news" phone call, ultimately, the receiver always appreciates that the effort has been made to talk about it and tackle it head on. For me this is the equivalent. They are just hiding behing the web site and its not impressive at all.

Keegan didn't take the job knowing that he was reporting to Wise, Baggio, you must have seen the quotes which have been highlighted regarding this. But he knew the system was in place, even if he wasn't reporting to Wise he would be reporting to Mort. Seems to me people are just looking for excuses for keegan walking out on the club for a second time, even turning down an offer of coming to a compromise. You say that as if he was offered everything he wanted yet still walked away. Nothing the club has done since he left gives me confidence that the offer of a compromise would have been agreeable to both parties. I know its a pisser that he appears to have walked away without a second glance at us fans (I still cant believe he isnt our manager any more) but I prefer to believe that he tried as hard as he could to work with it. We cant be so arrogant to think he should stay to be belittled and underminded just because we love him so much.
-
And the unfortunate thing for Ashley is that there is probably only one man on the planet who has enough respect and love from the fans to be given more than enough time to get it right should times get hard results wise.... and he has allowed him to walk away.
-
I agree with all of that but I think its the people within the system that have failed us and not the system itself.
-
Me too and I like the idea that we are a club that is seemingly trying to go down that road. Looks like we are only reading the "Dummies" version of how to do it though instead of the intensive edition.

I'll still buy nothing from inside the ground and we'll still not buy anything from anywhere owned by Ashley and we usually spend a fortune on Newcastle gear on the run up to Christmas, we usually buy from the club through mail order. And what do you hope to achieve by that? You think a drop in Sales Revenues wont register with Mike Ashley ? If there's a drop in revenue from the club then he'll look to either make it up in other areas which would either be ticket prices or having less money in the transfer pot. It just seems so petty all because keegan walked out. I honestly think its a bit more than just Kevin walking. The tone and wording of that statement last night was poor and the fact its all a bit faceless isnt helping either. There is an air of ruthlessness about it all that I dont think is sitting very well. Goodness knows what can happen between now and next June but its going to be mightily interesting when the season ticket renewals come out for next year - assuming Mike is still in charge. Those other areas you talk of of ways of coping with reduced revenues are only going to add fuel to the fire of discontent towards him/them. Was bad enough this transfer window.

What with the situation at Man City, its only going to take 2 or 3 clubs to be bought out by crazily rich men and the sport as we know it in this country is fucked... its already part of the way there already
