When i was watching the Villa-Man Utd game, John Motson said that in the fa cup no matter what, the away teams are entitled to 15% of tickets. So if we got Man Utd away we'd be entitled to 11,400 tickets :parky: Not that i'd want us to get Man Utd away, it's just an example But i wonder if we got Sunderland away, whether we'd get 7,200 tickets is another story. Same with us, nearly 8,000 tickets teams would be entitled to at SJP. Bit off subject, but i just thaught i'd mention it

Skint Luton beg Liverpool for Cup cash to help rescue the club . . but Kop say NO By Darren Lewis 05/01/2008 Liverpool last night shattered the magic of the FA Cup by refusing to donate their share of tomorrow's FA Cup third round gate receipts to penniless Luton Town. Bankrupt Luton, who play the six-time FA Cup winners in a David v Goliath clash, face extinction if they do not find a suitable buyer by Monday at 5pm. The Bedfordshire club, docked 10 points for going into administration in November, swallowed their pride to go begging to Liverpool. But even though the Reds' share of the ticket sales would have amounted to around the £100,000-a-week earned by star striker Fernando Torres, Anfield chiefs rejected the move. Luton boss Kevin Blackwell confirmed: "It has been asked by the administrator." He then put a brave face on the snub by joking: "They probably said: 'We have to pay players £100,000 a week. You must be joking! Otherwise we will be like you!' You just have to accept it. There are people in life who have got a Rolls Royce while some people have a Mini. We are Mini drivers. We tried to live like a Rolls Royce but that's why we are where we are." Luton have been unable to pay their players for the past nine weeks and the cash from tomorrow's game at Kenilworth Road has already been earmarked to help clear their debts. The League One club are losing a whopping £400,000 per month as they battle to keep themselves afloat and this match offers some respite. They will receive £150,000 for being on TV and their share of gate receipts will add up to £100,000. Chairman Bill Tomlins had agreed to fund the losses of the club out of his own pocket but that deal expired at the end of the year. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich made a donation to Scarborough when the two teams met in the FA Cup fourth round in 2004. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/2008/01/05/luton-beg-kop-for-cash-89520-20275347/ Do you think it was right for Liverpool to refuse ?

Barca game was shite, although i only caught the last 20mins it was crap. Fuking hell, great game of footie here though! That was probably the best period of the game, when Henry come on.
-
Espanol have looked class....what a goal for their second They're playing some excellant stuff. Barcelona game wasn't as good in 90 minutes
-
How long for the Everton game to finish ?
-
Blackburn have 11 men though don't they ? So can 5-1 with 10 men not be the same as 4-1 v 11 ?
-
Seems to be going well for us atm. Thats if we can get past Stoke like

Duff's a doubt for the game. Does this mean Charlie will get a game on the wing and the Bull at left back -
Swap him for Berbatov
-
Just thought the same thing. Milner was shocking against City while Zoggy and Enrique looked solid and played pretty well. Against Stoke put Duff on the right and Enrique+Zoggy on the left I'd like to see Duff go left back while Enrique is still settling in. He seems a lot slower now and would probably be suited there.

Boro really do set their standards high now like, i've read about some average Championship players being linked with them and now Shola
-
Would be a cracking buy if we could keep him fit. As soon as Martins can learn how to control the ball pass the ball properly, while starting to use a football brain, i think we could have a pretty tasty foward line.
-
Excellant.....nobody has heard of him so lets sign him

Man Utd reject Newcastle bid for Wes Brown - SSN
Jamie replied to WarrenBartonCentrePartin's topic in Football
Well he's just rejected £50,000 a week from Man Utd, so i can't see us going any more than that. -
You never know what you're going to get from Shola tbh. Plays really well against the big teams and shite against teams like Derby etc. I don't think it would be worth the risk and would only give fans more reason to shout for Big Sams head. I'd loan him out to a Fulham or someone like that and see how he does in the Premier League, then decide on his future.
-
I've wanted to scrap my home season ticket since Souness left tbh and just go to all the away games. But the only way i can do that is by having a season ticket, so i can't win really Regards, Jamie

Now that game was fun seeing all the empty seats Still stayed til the end..... Dad always leaves early like if we're shit. Most of the time he's desperate for a tab so just leaves whenever
-
Same same. Had my feet up and everything. There was empty seats all over when their second goal went in
-
Faye? He was our best player along with N'Zogbia today. Well if you actually read the post properly you will realise thats not what i meant. I thaught he did alright
-
We created some good chances first half and thaught we would go on to win had we put one of those chances away. But same old Newcastle eh...all the chances but can't put them away. And then what happens ? City go up the other end and score. It's the same old story at home and i'm sick of it. We were dreadfully poor again second half. Viduka ? Fucking waste of space, Martins the same. Whats Sam playing at playing 2 defensive midfielders at home in a 4-4-2 formation or whatver the fuck it was. People are blaming the players, twice i seen Pearson call Butt and Faye over to give them both a bollocking and they looked fucking clueless, didn't have a clue what they were meant to be doing. The only place we are going is down !

We need to remain in the city centre as much as possible. Tho 6 miles closer to me would be ace 6 miles to me would probably be on my doorstep Well in the direction of my house anyway
