Have seen him a couple of times, plays alongside Taylor who's a beast so his height didn't come into question too much. Saw him play against Ishmael Miller who's a big lad and Mariappa stood up well to him and didn't get bossed off the ball. Does have pace which is obviously something our centre-backs sorely lack. From the albeit fairly small amounts I've seen he looks like a decent squad option to have if we can get him cheap.

Just solid. Love the contrast between him and Colo, when he just gets it and smashes it into the crowd. Needs to be done sometimes and really, considering the length of time he's been out, should be applauded for his recent performances.

Have a Man Utd supporting mate at work who's been going on about Morrison for ages, everything in regards to personality and some of the really stupid stuff he's done (that intimidation stuff made him come across absolutely horrendous) really does put me off. One thing we've seemingly got is a great team spirit and a willingness to pull together, I'd hate for him to come in and not only disrupt some members of the firsts but also negatively influence some of the younger players. Leaning towards a no from me.

Never been a fan of discussing 'flops' as players can often change opinions as we know all too well - Colo and Enrique for example, likewise who'd have thought Arshavin would have become such a shadow of the player he started out as at Arsenal? Downing has done okay for Liverpool, I think of course higher profile players (and like him and SWP with already tarnished reputations) will alway find it tough. Have been surprised by how some players haven't featured for certain clubs - Bothroyd and Campbell at QPR, N'Zogbia in and out at Villa, Lukaku and Mceachran albeit for the future getting nowhere near the Chelsea team.

To be honest there's really not that much money in the Europa League, I don't think that would be a massive concern. May help attract a slightly better standard of player but would be surprised if he pushed on further just for that. Personally I'd bloody love a European run.

As much as I've been impressed by Hoilett in not quite sure how much of a Pardew player he is just because he's often so lapse when he's not got the ball and on the defensive. Obviously it's something which can be coached in his game so by no means write him off, but as others have said he's still got a way to go until he becomes more than an exciting prospect.
