Would say it means Sammy and Vuckic are closer to the first team, but would mean we're doing a fair bit of square pegs in round holes to be honest...
-
Was watching the game with my Man Utd supporting mate, and we figured out between ourselves at their club he'd be around eighth choice striker. Just in no way a Premier League footballer.
-
Waste of a shirt tonight.
-
Won a fair bit in the air but thought he was shocking at everything else.
-
Just never looks like he's got the ball under control. Worried we heading back to the days of Carr and Babayaro where we really struggled to get the ball from defence to midfield. Full backs can make such a difference to a team and we're missing Enrique quite badly already.
-
Is Carr doing all his scouting on FM or what? (If he isn't, he should be).
-
Cheers Joey, the good just about outweighing the bad. All the best at QPR, hope we don't end up playing 'Pistol Pete' RM...

Always read this thread last as it's always the one least likely to be filled with doomongering, great stuff Chris and wholeheartedly agree that finally we're in a strong position to bring through prospects which in the long run can only be a good thing.
-
That's a decent article for a local rag, also good to hear he's settling in nicely already.
-
Shoe in to be in the next Spanish squad surely. Liverpool far more likeable now with him playing for them. Until they play us obviously
-
The Stevenage game excluded, probably the worst game he's had in the black and white. Saying that have absolute confidence that with a bit more training and match fitness he'll quickly get back to his best.
-
If that was Steve Harper out there instead today with exactly the same performance people would be complaining about his kicking.
-
“Newcastle will soon make an official offer to sign me for one season. I don’t think Contractors will refuse to let me play in the English Premier League,” he told Ahram Online. During the World Cup, Salah bamboozled opponents with some neat tricks and superb footwork but he was often blamed for failing to apply the finishing touch, having wasted many goal-scoring opportunities. that sounds a lot like Shola but without the neat tricks and superb footwork.

What potentially makes sense is that Ashley and co. want the 'changing room leaders' (aka Nolan, Smith, Harper and Barton) phased out of the club, Forster wasn't willing to be second choice and they don't think Soderberg or Alnwick are ready to be backup in case Krul gets injured. That means they've approached this Elliott guy and the Striker/LB search is still on.
-
Dave Bassett as a tea lady.
-
Errr...didn't Pardew say last year that Forster wasted his time in the SPL because the league is crap? Makes no sense to me unless it's a permanent deal.
-
Was different Dons to who I assumed as well. Double shambles.
-
Wait, I've not been in this thread for a while. Are people seriously judging him from one game against Arsenal?
-
Looked knackered by the time he went off. Can't imagine he's played in that many games where he's had to work so hard without seeing much of the ball. Think Barton drifted a bit too central during the first half which didn't allow him to get on the ball as much as he'd like, but he certainly looked promising. Wasn't great by any means, but worked really hard and I'm looking forward to him getting settled at the club.
-
How can anyone listen to this? Awful awful stuff
-
Do like Henry Winter, comes across as a thoroughly likeable bloke. Wish the club would hurry up and ban Barton from twitter mind.
-
Not one to remember but would have taken a point beforehand so 'meh'.
-
Is there any need for this constant vitriol towards a man who has done a decent job for us when we've had nobody else to stand up and do it? Fair play for daring to speak some sense. that man.
-
Him or Pieters I'd be bloomin' happy with.
-
Is he still on the transfer list then? Someone get on teletext and check like in Ultimate Soccer Manager...
