Sounds pretty grim to me.

Jonas is reasonably handy in a 3-man midfield but Anita is a much, much, much better option. -
They trying to replace Danny Murphy or something? They love a slow midfielder.

I can't believe we're having to go into a game with Obertan and Sammy in charge of creating chances. More chance of my phone catching aids. -
He developed more at St. Mirren than he did here, that's for sure. Another season loan.

And having a former defender as reserve manager is just utterly turgid. Not just that, but he's Scottish too. He'll have as much of a philosophy about football as I have about spiders. Needs a big clearout before we completely waste the little talent we have available in the lower ranks.

I can imagine. Stone got promoted to that position, god knows what the guys who didn't are like.

I believe Jol's tongue was firmly in cheek

he says the exact same shit they all do (I know you're being sarcastic btw) but for some reason, maybe because he says it less eloquently, people think it's different. Footballers are famously dim, yet are given the chief analysis roles, it's utterly baffling to me. I wouldn't mind James Richardson presenting the matches and a couple proper experts with a guest (to appease the masses). I wish Vickery did british footy (saying that I get the impression he still knows more).

No wonder when you have coaches like Steve "kick it longer" Stone taking the first team, reserves probably don't want to step up.

Meanwhile Ranger gets 5 years.

Seriously? We talking about Moses? Yes. He wanted something like about 20k a week and we told them to p*ss off. He'd have, pretty much, been playing every week by now. If anything those wages are very fair (if what you said is correct). They probably wanted him on a par with the other young players when, in reality, he's streets ahead.
-
Bugger. Moses would have been ideal too. Fuck our board.

I genuinely can't wait till he retires

In! Anyone want to let me crash? I'll reward you with some homeland delicacies. Oh, preferred position is some sort of wide forward. -
Sounds like Martinez to me! This is always the best thing to do, but its like the club (and so many others) have a gambling problem. The 'best man for the job, or the best we can get' is always appointed, but when things go wrong the grass always becomes greener, and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that if we appointed someone else they'd be under the exact same scrutiny Pardew is now, even if they have a better philosophy. If he didn't have the relationship he has with the hierarchy he'd be out already, I wasn't a fan when he was appointed, won me over last season (yes like pretty much everyone) but those initial fears seem to have been realised. It's either an endemic problem, or just the nature of management. It's easy to look at the Ferguson's and Wenger's as the ideal, but in reality I think they are more the exception - and not an exception that can be easily predicted upon appointing a manager. I'd give Pardew another 6 matches to turn it around, if we're still spiraling out of control Ashley really should make a move. Saying that, if the ship goes down, I think the captain will be coming along for the ride. I don't know, man. If we lose the next six matches (which is entirely possible) we are utterly fucked. For me, now is the perfect time to bring someone in. Pardew's done.

True, but would be nice if we were at least linked somewhat reliably to a CB.
