  1. Aye (mebbe . . ) but they are O U R S !!!
  2. Those were great days . . and many M O R E to come !!!!
  3. I think we will play well, we will look like a team that knows what it is doing. Any points will be a real bonus from this match though, this season. They are streets ahead of all other PL Teams apart from Man City. In the future we can expect to take them, but probably not this season.
  4. OUR qualification. It was NUFC that was being discussed.
  5. Because the "qualification" for it, is relegation to the 2nd Division.
  6. Yes, 1-0 to us would be great! One of my best St James' Park memories comes from a very hard fought 1-0 home win against Liverpool. They were a top side that year, as usual, and the game ebbed and flowed all through the 90 minutes. That match is still (in my memory) the match where I was most "exhausted" at the end of it, out of all the hundreds of matches I've been to, and I had almost totally lost my voice by the end with all the shouting. The match was ending with a fantastic 0-0 scoreline (it CAN be like that) then a long ball and a very precise long ball not just a punt up the field, went the full length of the pitch, arriving at the feet of Fairs Cup Winner, the young Alan Foggon, and he trapped it and turned and powered it past the keeper in one movement. The place erupted, and it is all still as fresh in my memory today as it was then . . . on 11th October 1969 !!! So, it would be great to get an equally exciting 1-0 win over Liverpool on this Saturday, and I think we may well do that! In the next home programme (Chelsea on 25th October) you can see the result of that very match, see photo . . .
  7. That land at Woolsington, Green Belt or not, is inside the City Boundary. I am sure that NUFC, and Jamie Reuben in particular, have a great relationship with the City Council these days. I do not think there will be a problem getting Planning Permission in that part of Newcastle at all.
  8. Already, only six months after the takeover, we are a destination club. It is very unlikely anyone of quality will actually want to leave us, for anyone.
  9. Where was your mother's season ticket? My season tocket that year was a 'standing one' in the old Centre Paddock in front of the West Stand.
  10. Not saying it is impossible, but the 9,000 HMRC staff moving out of BPV (and elsewhere) when the Newcastle Regional Centre moves to Pilgrim Quarter in the City Centre, will not be out until 2026/2027. So, it cannot happen soon, if it is to be there.
  11. Leave my dad alone !!!!!!
  12. We might win, we might draw, we might lose - BUT we will play to a good standard because that is how Eddie Howe's NUFC play now.
  13. Looking forward to getting the top concerts back at SJP soon.
  14. He says he thinks as well - fucking pathetic
  15. I'll have a go . . . This could go on, round in circles, forever . . pathetic !!
  16. Could I have been mistaken? Hmm, I'm beginning to think so!
  17. What can I say? That is how it 'felt' to me!
  18. It was not intended like that at all by him. I wish it had been.
  19. No, it was too strongly written (despite the ) to be a joke.
  20. So, that is how YOU think and that is the reason why YOU would say that. Fortunately, not many people are as pathetic as you. My parents were not rich but in 1969 they won a new Colour TV in a competition, and my obvious point is that "Colour TVs existed" in 1969. I'm sure you knew what I was saying, but you felt like making a stupid comment. Yes - I know - I shouldn't have reacted to you !!!!!! You shouldn't judge other people by your own standards.
  21. VERY much agree, worth another look at it . . .
  22. We had a Colour TV in 1969 !!
