That is what I often say to people who shout out about us being part-owned by Saudi PIF . . . I also say that owning Newcastle United will help massively with this ongoing process. Saudi Arabia, and their people, will gain a LOT from their involvement with us, that is why their ownership of us is A GREAT THING FOR HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE WORLD. It is the exact opposite of what some people scream about at us (not just Sunderland supporters . . but certainly them) for our links with Saudi Arabia. I say to these people that the exact opposite of what they say is the reality!

THAT has all changed! C O M P L E T E L Y . . .
-
Or, AC Milan are being used to bump up our offer, more like.
-
That is certainly the name of the Company that is shown as a shareholder of NUFC. It is Jamie Reubens money used for this acquisition, not the "Reuben Brothers" money.
-
He owns 10% of the club. It is his money, not his parents.

At present, before the Transfer Window even opens, three players seem (to me) to be our most likely purchases. They are - Lucas Paqueta, Renan Lodi and Dean Henderson. When the window closes it will be interesting to see if ANY of those three have actually become Newcastle United players .

I do hope so. I fully appreciate, and support, our clear intention to show that we will never be taken advantage of financially, but it is not as if paying compensation would set a 'precedent' here, like it would if we paid over the odds for a player. I mean, we are not going to be bringing another Director of Football in the near future are we (hopefully!)
-
Trust our owners, they K N O W what they are doing, and their intention is to - as soon as possible - re-name those Big Six as "Numbers 2 to 7."
-
Don't you mean "Wear and Tyne"?
-
Yes, me too, I'm washing my hair. Both of them . . .
-
You would think that any decent club and their supporters would NEVER admit (on pain of death) that they had even been involved in those low grade tournaments. Ha ha, what does this say about them !!!! Surely they must realise how small (tiny / miniscule) this makes them look

Sadly, just the home game. That season it was very much all I could afford, or to be more precise - all my Mam & Dad could afford!! At that time, though I was going to as many league matches as I could, I couldn't afford a Season Ticket either. I got my first Season Ticket the following season, a 'standing one' in the West Stand Centre Paddock, and was instantly gently labelled as a . . . wait for it . . . "Glory Hunter" !!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy days, oh and "Mr 1964", I have got my black & white hot water bottle, thankyou . . .

Been to a number of our recent major finals, three FA Cup Finals (all lost) one League Cup Final (lost) and one European Fairs Cup Final (won), and our support was U N B E L I E V A B L E at all of them. It would be exactly the same now, I'm sure of it!

I would be surprised with a 'massacre', that doesn't fit with our current plans - even if it is Man City! I think we could well lose though, sadly.

As a short-term stop-gap measure (which it is) it is absolutely great !!!!

This Newcastle Map shows the "central NE postcodes" of Newcastle United support, where I cannot imagine many will support - or even think about - SAFC. Our support is core in a far wider area even than these Newcastle Postcodes, as our support comes from all of Northumberland to the West and to the North, as well. I cannot imagine that even the 'densest' of SAFC supporters (a low bar, I know) would ever think otherwise . . . though of course they may well "say" otherwise to their mates on Forums !!!!!

Aye (mebbe . . ) but they are O U R S !!!
-
Those were great days . . and many M O R E to come !!!!

I think we will play well, we will look like a team that knows what it is doing. Any points will be a real bonus from this match though, this season. They are streets ahead of all other PL Teams apart from Man City. In the future we can expect to take them, but probably not this season.

OUR qualification. It was NUFC that was being discussed.
-
Because the "qualification" for it, is relegation to the 2nd Division.

Yes, 1-0 to us would be great! One of my best St James' Park memories comes from a very hard fought 1-0 home win against Liverpool. They were a top side that year, as usual, and the game ebbed and flowed all through the 90 minutes. That match is still (in my memory) the match where I was most "exhausted" at the end of it, out of all the hundreds of matches I've been to, and I had almost totally lost my voice by the end with all the shouting. The match was ending with a fantastic 0-0 scoreline (it CAN be like that) then a long ball and a very precise long ball not just a punt up the field, went the full length of the pitch, arriving at the feet of Fairs Cup Winner, the young Alan Foggon, and he trapped it and turned and powered it past the keeper in one movement. The place erupted, and it is all still as fresh in my memory today as it was then . . . on 11th October 1969 !!! So, it would be great to get an equally exciting 1-0 win over Liverpool on this Saturday, and I think we may well do that! In the next home programme (Chelsea on 25th October) you can see the result of that very match, see photo . . .

That land at Woolsington, Green Belt or not, is inside the City Boundary. I am sure that NUFC, and Jamie Reuben in particular, have a great relationship with the City Council these days. I do not think there will be a problem getting Planning Permission in that part of Newcastle at all.

Already, only six months after the takeover, we are a destination club. It is very unlikely anyone of quality will actually want to leave us, for anyone.

Where was your mother's season ticket? My season tocket that year was a 'standing one' in the old Centre Paddock in front of the West Stand.
