How many centuries ago did that short-lived daft name exist??

Cannot agree with that 'signing Neymar' stuff, we are quite a few years away from that sort of thing! Also, what is this Premier "ship", are you sailing away somewhere?

You will feel a lot better by July, as we all will! -
I think that he will be the first of - from now on - a long (long) line of high quality players that will want to come here. They will choose us, and choose us above most others, and eventually above ALL others. It hasn't really (fully) started yet, but B O Y when it gets going it will be very enjoyable. I am aware that a lot of us are still having a problem with assimilating the full extent of our changed circumstances . . it just hasn't "sunk fully in" yet!! The ambition of our new owners is limitless . . . and we supporters will be the long term beneficiaries of that unlimited ambition. E N J O Y !!!!!

Yes, I agree, we will not rush him out the door but we got him at a particular time for a particular reason. It was a 'unique' set of circumstances for us at the time, one that I do not see being repeated again in the future, with the overall level of investment we will routinely make from now on. So, his level of achievement with us so far might mean that he will - himself - be happy to move on, as other forwards arrive.

Albert was a regular highlight on Total Sport. He always talked common sense and always explained how he formed his opinions and why he was saying what he said. He obviously had a great affection for our club, as we all have, but he was able to communicate that affection along with his knowledge, every time he rang in no matter what the specific point he was making was. I will miss him at tea-time during the season. RIP.

Do you think Wood will still be here? I'm not 100% certain that he will be.

Not optimism, definitely not optimism, just the evidence of history (plus common sense). Integration of countries with other countries and with the 'public' (not only the 'football public') of those countries is how we share good practice and knowledge and thus can mutually grow and develop. Major sport is one sure way to speed up these processes. The one way to ensure that this does NOT happen is to cut countries off and demonise them. So, definitely not 'optimism', - just realism. (Where have I heard that before . . . )

That is what I often say to people who shout out about us being part-owned by Saudi PIF . . . I also say that owning Newcastle United will help massively with this ongoing process. Saudi Arabia, and their people, will gain a LOT from their involvement with us, that is why their ownership of us is A GREAT THING FOR HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE WORLD. It is the exact opposite of what some people scream about at us (not just Sunderland supporters . . but certainly them) for our links with Saudi Arabia. I say to these people that the exact opposite of what they say is the reality!

Or, AC Milan are being used to bump up our offer, more like. -
That is certainly the name of the Company that is shown as a shareholder of NUFC. It is Jamie Reubens money used for this acquisition, not the "Reuben Brothers" money.
-
He owns 10% of the club. It is his money, not his parents.

At present, before the Transfer Window even opens, three players seem (to me) to be our most likely purchases. They are - Lucas Paqueta, Renan Lodi and Dean Henderson. When the window closes it will be interesting to see if ANY of those three have actually become Newcastle United players .
-
I do hope so. I fully appreciate, and support, our clear intention to show that we will never be taken advantage of financially, but it is not as if paying compensation would set a 'precedent' here, like it would if we paid over the odds for a player. I mean, we are not going to be bringing another Director of Football in the near future are we (hopefully!)
-
Trust our owners, they K N O W what they are doing, and their intention is to - as soon as possible - re-name those Big Six as "Numbers 2 to 7."
-
Don't you mean "Wear and Tyne"?
-
Yes, me too, I'm washing my hair. Both of them . . .
-
You would think that any decent club and their supporters would NEVER admit (on pain of death) that they had even been involved in those low grade tournaments. Ha ha, what does this say about them !!!! Surely they must realise how small (tiny / miniscule) this makes them look
-
Sadly, just the home game. That season it was very much all I could afford, or to be more precise - all my Mam & Dad could afford!! At that time, though I was going to as many league matches as I could, I couldn't afford a Season Ticket either. I got my first Season Ticket the following season, a 'standing one' in the West Stand Centre Paddock, and was instantly gently labelled as a . . . wait for it . . . "Glory Hunter" !!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy days, oh and "Mr 1964", I have got my black & white hot water bottle, thankyou . . .

Been to a number of our recent major finals, three FA Cup Finals (all lost) one League Cup Final (lost) and one European Fairs Cup Final (won), and our support was U N B E L I E V A B L E at all of them. It would be exactly the same now, I'm sure of it!
