As I am sure you are aware of from the Takeover Thread, I was aware that PIF never withdrew their bid to anyone in the Consortium, they only "said" it for public consumption. Throughout the 18 months I repeatedly said that the success of the Takeover was completely inevitable, because of the calibre of our buyers, Reubens, PIF and PCP. They have bought us as a consortium, not as three individual groups. That is one of the differences between you and I - I said what was inevitable before it happened, not after the event !!! The "calibre" of the consortium and its constituent members has not changed, so do not get concerned about it - this is only the beginning of a VERY long journey.

In all my many years on this forum, that is the most "removed from actual reality" post that I have ever read.

But there is an air of logic about it. I'm not saying it will happen, but perhaps he could be a back-up / temporary choice, until our first choices realise we are safe from relegation later in the season?

I would have thought that - by now - you would have learnt the value of W A I T I N G !!! Because that is what you, and I, and all of us, will have to do.

The reason I had absolute certainty over the last year and a half that our Takeover would definitely succeed, was purely and simply because of the calibre of those who were buying us. They have now bought us, and their ability levels have not suddenly plummeted. That is all I need to know, and indeed all any of us should need to know.

The leaks (if they ARE leaks, which is very doubtful) are unlikely to have come from the club. I do not think that is our new owners style, at all. We will get used to our new owners, and the way they are, eventually!

I think our brilliant new owners intend to get their decision on our D o F and Head Coach 100% correct. That they will do, and they will take (whatever is) the appropriate length of time in order to achieve that. Just W A I T !!!

I can understand that some of us are finding it difficult to understand, but things have completely changed for our club, they have changed by 100%. The way I do it is every time that I think (like I have been trained to do over the lst 14 years) that we cannot do something, then I say to myself ONE word. That word is O P P O S I T E. For example, every time I think that something cannot happen that I want to happen to NUFC . . . I just think "opposite". If you do that then you are pretty close to understanding what will actually happen every single time from now on. This is a new planet, in a new universe, and it HAS happened (to us . . . )

Some very illogical comparisons there, just grasping at the Saudi Arabia connection. How and why would you arrive at the last part of your post I cannot fathom?

Says who, where? If I was them I would ask for football advice from huge numbers of people across the game, as wide a range of people as possible, that is the very best way to arrive at your OWN 'best judgement' on anything, but whether I would actually take any 'specific individual bit' of advice from any one individual is a very different thing altogether!

Everybody gets things wrong from time to time (I never "delude" myself, life is too short for that) but what we all have to get used to - and I know it is difficult - is that from now on NUFC decisions are very, very likely to be made that are usually the right/best ones, and that the end results are likely to be usually very good. The ratio of "good to bad outcomes" is now going to be so completely different from previously that it is genuinly difficult to assimilate it . . . but I am trying to !!

We DO know this, of course we do. I have been saying for more than 18 months that the absolute certainty of the eventual success of the Takeover was down to the "Calibre" of the people wanting to buy us. They were 'winners' and successful in Business in getting what they wanted. That applied to the Reubens, P I F, and PCP. They know how to do things, and they are now our owners. They will (again) succeed.

I just think it is great that none of these names, or any other news at all about a D o F or Manager/Head Coach, has come from our new owners. No leaks - deliberate or otherwise - have come out at all. Everything we have been told by journalists is (at best) 100% guesswork, or (at worst) 100% malicious rumour-mongering. We are now in high calibre and safe hands . . . so different it is hard to get used to it !!!

Interviews do take a long time to be planned, held, and analysed afterwards, and I would imagine each serious candidate is being interviwed more than once, and perhaps in 'foreign parts', so yes, you are right, we (once again) just have to . . . W A I T !!!!!!!!!!!!
