Perfectly expressed!

I repeat, despite it being again mentioned that I will, I can again re-confirm (though I should not have to) that I will NEVER say anything like that, and people repeating the possibility back to me (like you) will never make me change my way of life and standard of behaviour about this or anything else. That is not who I am. OK?
-
I have said it before, so here it is again. There is no point in being a "wind up merchant" so no matter how much you want me to become one - I will NOT do so. I have also said before, so I will say it again, when the Takeover happens I will never say "I told you so", because I do not care about that !!! All I care about is NUFC and our great City (and Region) that it represents.

Best thing for Hakka to do is to ignore this legion of unsubstantiated negativity, as I said, just like what is being (again) thrown enthusiatically at me !!
-
Yes, I know, I know that many agree that currently there is no point, it's a bit like "going to the match", there is no point (almost literally) at present.
-
Those are the two MAIN reasons many people give, or 'reveal' by their comments. There will be hundreds of other reasons. I was saying what the "main" reasons undoubtedly are, I was not (and am not) ignoring anything.

Interesting comment! For 'constant', read 'consistent'. At present, as I thought you would know, NUFC is dead. Why would ANYONE contribute to any thread other than the Takeover Threads . . there is no point, no interest.

You will get lots of negative responses to this question, lots of them. I cannot work out why so many people think like that, there has been good and positive signs, and there has been bad and negative signs, and so many people seem to obsessively latch onto the negative signs and therefore become negative themselves. The two main aspects that cause many to feel negative, appear to be (1) We are Newcastle United, nothing good ever happens to us, and (2) the sheer length of time and periods of quiet/no news that this is taking. None of those types of things have ever impacted on me. It remains simple, we have a very willing seller (who feels he has really already sold the club) and we have an even more willing buyer who are extremely capable and successful people and who are very, very rich. They are far too good to lose this fight, and this "time" thing that so impacts on the negative types is (in itself) a further indication of why the buyers will not lose. With all these delays (and despite some public statements to the contrary) they are obviously ALL still in there fighting. If they were not, none of what is happening with the legal cases would be happening. If they were not still "all in" NOTHING would be happening, and the Consortium would have notified us all about that fact - very clearly. So - hakka - try to ignore the legion of enthusiastic negative responses that you will get, and just look forward to our hard-fought very exciting future.

I'll leave that to you!

First time?

It actually might not be . . .

That's because most of us on both threads are just doing the simple W A I T thing !!!

You are correct, but when . . . . .

It will end well, so many people do not expect it to end well (I am surrounded by them in the real world and on here) but it will be fantastic when it happens. In some ways you negative guys will have a better time than me, because all that will happen to me is "the inevitable", but those who are currently certain that we are 'doomed' will have such a great time, such a great shock, in addition to the eventual shared good times!

Nothing is certain in this life, but I would expect that our new owners would not think of it as much of a 'gamble' really. It's not just that under Ashley, twice already, that is all that it has been (one season) it is more that they are unlikely to lose any of our best players this time (because of the plans that would be in place that the players would be buying into) and there would also be quality acquisitions. So, not too much of a gamble. Also, I know things look bad at present, but we are only three games in, far too early to seriously be contemplating relegation. Though the next few games look . . er . . difficult !!!

Yes, no one is sure what the sale price of the club would be if we do go down. It could well be less than currently agreed, but how much less for one season in the 2nd Division (which is all it probably would be under the Consortium) no one knows. Certainly, as a very long term investment, it is unlikely to alter the price greatly because both parties (buyer and seller) have shown a massive amount of determination (two legal actions pending, for example) to get this deal over the line.
-
Hopefully this will not become an insult-fest from you. There is no logic whatsoever behind that statement, though I often hear and read it. If they want to buy NUFC (and the consortium does) they would much rather buy us in the EPL, and that is probably where we will 'just' be !! However, they are planning to make a very long-term investment in this City and this Football Club so one extra seasons effort is going to make absolutely no difference to their planning or intentions whatsoever.
-
As I understand it, PIF are part of a Consortium that has been put together to buy Newcastle United, and those I know from Saudi have a great pride in their perceived behaviour, which is why I mentioned it. As for the "Aston Martin and Fiat Punto" analogy, well I cannot see that a season in the 2nd Division would make any difference at all to their ambitions for NUFC and the wider City of Newcastle.
-
I think they have far too much pride (in themselves) to do that.
-
Yes, a combined Statement of Intent would be great.

Can we start getting this thread back on-topic please?

The green-eyed monster surfaces again !!!

Ha ha, I am told that I have a strong resemblance to Daniel Craig, though I would say that I look a bit 'younger' than he does. I also seem to suffer from the same difficuly as him, of being extremely attractive to women. It's a hard life, and I am an NUFC Supporter also !! (And I have to put up with a lot of ridiculous personal comments on here, how do I cope?)
