  1. I am staggered to understand how anyone can think this, I hate Ashley as much as anyone but FFS get a grip I don't know how many times on this board I am going to have to repeat the bleedin' obvious. REVENGE (at any cost) is exactly what he is after, and it is exactly what he will get. Simply, he's "lost it". Yeah ok and "yeah ok" to you too! Get back to me in a few months. Why? So you can claim your prize? Congratulations on wanting to bask in that glory should it happen, it makes you sound pathetic but hey if thats what raises you flag then i pity you. Please tell me what it is that I have said ("in stating the obvious") that makes you decide to manufacture the drivel that you have just spouted about me? As a lifelong supporter of my club since 1967/1968, I know when it is being abused. I know it IS now being abused. All Ashley wants (or cares about) is revenge on us for shattering his "big man / helping the poor norveners / playing with owning a football club" DREAMS. YOU? Just keep manunfacturing your drivel about anyone who does not share whatever cosy fantasies about life that you have. Go on, off you go. (Meanwhile, our owner continues to laugh at us and to ruin the thing he KNOWS we hold most dear to our hearts) You proudly state 'get back to me in a few months' clearly its touched a nerve because the default 'oooooh look at me, 'kin diehard man' routine is trawled out. Spouting no drivel, just the tone of your post. Perhaps the 'tone of my post' was set by your sudden lowering of standards with your "yeah ok post". Meanwhile, the facts remain the same. Yeah it was all nasty old me, not your 'i am clearly better than you' routine in stating you have to repeat the bleeding obvious to all the rest of thise forum eh? Facts? Facts you say? Please enlighten the forum with your 100% confirmation of fact that Mike Ashley is working out of revenge please? Obviously you have conclusive proof....... Or you could enlighten the forum with your 100% confirmation of fact that Mike Ashley isn’t working out of revenge, please. What utterly pathetic logic. You are the one throwing the pitiful nonesense around yet want me to prove you wrong despite you having no proof whatsoever? 'kin grow up you moron, you need to get a grip Why do you lower the tone of every discussion you get involved in. You make it almost pointless to debate with you.

  6. Hopefully Llambias cos he talks s****. Thing is if it's all cloak and dagger and as has been reported already, the most senior person at SJP is an accountant, no one will know a thing, more speculation, the people ITK are refusing to comment. In addition Hughton even said himself on Saturday that he doesn't expect to be in charge come the start of the season. If there's no news by next monday I'd expect them to bring someone in as it's getting too near the start of the season. If we start the season with Hughton and Calderwood I think Ashley is making his intentions quite clear, he wants to f*** us up big style You are right - that is EXACTLY what he wants to do to us. I have always said it was 'personal' for Ashley, he HATES what we did to him (as he sees it) over the DoF / Keegan affair. I used to get told I was mad for thinking and saying that / for being so stupid and melodramatic (things 'like that' just don't happen!!) However, an elementary study of people-types (psychology) shows Ashley to be like that - and he will NOT CARE about any financial cost to him, at all. HE has all the power, and we the supporters (and our club itself) have NONE. What does it feel like to be turned over and sha**ed - to DEATH - big time, everyone? Get used to it (if we even survive).

  8. he didnt take us to second twice, he didnt take fulham to the prem, let alone establish them there. He was here at the start of the 2nd place in question, what division are Fulham in? he was here at the start of this season too :frantic: He had his team in 97 ....and he was here longer then. he actually was allowed to buy and sell players then, instead of denis wise,.. it took us to second, unlike this arrangement, that got us relegated. Isn't that what I just said, but in more words? yep, iwas siding with you against the lib. point scoring again? 3 emotes usually conveys sarcasm btw. By which way?
  9. It might not be a club for much longer if he gets the go ahead though. Bearing in mind it was the 'Ashley Camp' that have said the most about what could have happened to the club - if THEY hadn't taken over . . . and now that we know what a bunch of totally useless ****ocks they are . . . why do you say that? I never felt it was true when FFS/SJH were the owners, neither do I think it looking back (from an accountancy perspective) - so why should anyone say it now ('as if' it was factual) I do not know.
  10. One day I will visit "Planet Innocence". I am sure it is a very nice, straightforward, place!!!!!!! (where nothing different happens)
  11. To many, this whole thread will instantly seem so 'incredible' / 'stupid' / 'juvenile' / 'far-fetched' . . . etc, etc, etc. A man on the moon??? Don't be RIDICULOUS!! Whereas, in the REAL world, almost anything is very, very, possible . . .
  12. It DOES seem very planned and premeditated. Everything he has done. It almost CANNOT be anything other than deliberate - if it were not (also) so unbelievable. And yet . . . If he deliberately wanted to take us down then he would have let Allardyce stay on. Or at least appointed Kinnear instead of Keegan to replace him.... No no no - not necessarily. Perhaps that was ONE way of doing it, but I think what he has done has brought more "instability" than just keeping Allardyce would have. Hence, the result . . .

  14. it's like i'd rather have my leg sawn off (fred) as opposed to my head sawn off (ashley) plenty given the choice between the two would rather have fred whilst thinking all in all it's a pretty shitty choice. It's hard to believe that even after everything that has gone on under Ashley you and others are still coming out with idiotic tripe such as the above. To be more accurate it's any of: Ambition as opposed to no ambition knowledge of the game as opposed to no knowledge of the game someone who cares as opposed to a cockney market trader in it for all he can get Take your pick, they're all valid. Fred is a massive step up from the wide-boy. I just hope if it happens it happens in time, because Ashley is going to take this club down at least another division if he stays much longer, he may even totally destroy the football club. No doubt you'll still be trying to convince yourself that regular European football is no better and that Fred is just the same... no doubt you;ll remember that in freds last 10 years we finished below half way 6times. 3 times in his last 3 years if that was a guide as r=to the way we were going. he sure had ambition but that ambition got us to the point where in my opinion the banks wouldn't have bankrolled us anymore and we needed the banks just to make ends meet. yes ashley f***ed up......doesn't mean fred was doing well for us. Change the record, ffs. I've heard it all before, it's like you're stuck in a loop. Ashley has no ambition and knows nowt about football. Fred is a better bet. End of. That is undeniably true. It would be great to feel that someone was in charge of our club who CARED about it, again. It is like being at the mercy of someone (who you know) hates you - having that uncaring (hate-filled) incompetent fool 'from far away', Ashley, in charge. ANYTHING could happen with him, because he does not care - in fact he acts like he was 'hired by' another club to make a mess of our club - he really comes across like that.

    Plastic Geordies

Most people born, brought up and living in Newcastle are not 'Geordies' - they are just people from Newcastle. In the same way, most people born, brought up and living in London, are not 'Cockneys' - they are just people from London. Like most people from here, I am VERY proud to be from Newcastle and am equally proud to support Newcastle United FC, having had a season ticket for most years, since season 1969/1970. I am also proud to be English and British. I do not see why we have to say that "someone is a whatever" - we are all just people from somewhere . . .

  18. I'm sick of having this argument He has the ingredients to make a good coach. Just like Shearer has the ingredients to make a good manager. Neither of them are guarenteed to succeed but there are more reasons to think they will than they wont Would it not make more sense to surround an inexperienced manager with more experienced coaches though? Also, why Speed in particular? Why not Solano? Why not David Batty - he was a quality little player and always seemed like a good pro when he was here. I fully understand your argument, but I don't know why there seems to be a common concensus that he would make a good coach ans should definitely come in now. Also agree with Tooj's point. Batty doesnt actually enjoy football that much, football was his trade. Not even kidding. Rob Lee might be worth trying. Loves the club, was part of the Keegan Revolution, and is a big mate of Shearers. What do you think?
  19. Actually, we are not far off agreement!! I used to think exactly as you do now. I just think that (uniquely) this specific crop of players, has proven to me that they are all not good enough (as opposed to what you are saying, I think - 'most of them are not good enough') and that (uniquely) 'underperforming' is (now, here) not a significant factor. To me, they have PROVED that.
  20. OK, "form doesn't change JUST based on whether a player thinks the team needs to win, etc, etc". BUT, that is certsainly one very very major factor. The old oft-repeated argument about "the real best players often being big match players / producing it when it matters, etc" PLUS, Own self-motivation, which would kick in when a player wants to stay at a club and earn "Premiership" level money (or maintain his reputation, in order to do that elsewhere). Basically, 99.9% of 'underperformance' and 'incentive to the cause' issues (their OWN cause, usually, if not the clubs) would be impacted on to cause better performances to occur in the situation we are now in - IF 'underperformance' had anything to do with it. Simply, it doesn't.
  21. Really? I just think they are individaually and collectively (proven to be) NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
  22. What I am saying is that 'maybe' some of them were capable of playing better once. But NOT now. They have proved that (ONE simple example being they LOST to Fulham, when they HAD to win, and would have if any of them had been recently only underperforming). They got no points against Fulham, when they (and they all knew this) had to get THREE points. They are now performing to totally their correct/appropriate levels, no more, no less (though 'sometimes' less!).
  23. Yes, I now agree 100% with that. Its awful, really awful, but true. We have wasted all that we built under KK (first time) and Sir Bobby. All gone, no heritage left to build on.
  24. Perhaps (maybe) we had some then, but 12 months on (based on my analysis above) it seems NOT.

That was mentioned on NUFC.COM as well not a record anyone wants, obviously. Lets hope (looking on the bright side) we get promoted next season, with the highest ever Second Division ('Championship') crowds. It will still be another 'unwanted' record though! I may be wrong, but I think we already hold that record. Good Grief !!!! So, we're gonna break one of our own (probably our 'only' one, now) records then! How SAD is that . . . (er . . . "IF" we get promoted, that is!!) (and perhaps . . . "IF" we go down in the first place - but this "IF" seems very likely!)
