A win today throws us right back in the mix, still with games in hand against the teams above us. Today's game is pivotal to how our season concludes, perfect game to kick-start a run of form.
-
If he does insist on starting Wilson then I hope Isak starts instead of Almiron, I'd prefer Isak up front with Murphy getting a start ahead of a knackered Almiron though. I'd also start Targett behind ASM and bring Burn on later in the game.
-
I don't think so, I'm inclined to think what he said in the presser was to throw them off the scent, the way it was worded and the way it was printed were at odds.

Ivan other penalty
-
It's so obvious his bottle went, I'd be raging if that was against us.
-
I think that has a lot to do with the teams we've been playing to be fair, I don't envision us lumping it forward when Wolves come to St James' I think we'll see more build up play from the back. Can't see Isak not starting for this given the change in opponents, we won't be looking for the ball to stick so if Howe does choose Wilson again that has to be questions asked. I can see the choice of Wilson over Isak against teams we're expecting to be under the cosh against, so the last 3 can be understood.

11 games unbeaten and they haven't lost at home when they've scored first in 2 years! Insane stats, preferably a draw but would take a Brentford win. Fulham winning would be another psychological hit for us, even with 2 games in hand, extra pressure we don't need right now.
-
But to counter that, at least we only conceded 2 against a rampant Liverpool
-
As soon as Man u couldn't stick their whole team behind the ball and look for the long ball counter they were screwed. Had to try and come out and play actual football and had no answer to Liverpools attack. I hope their confidence is completely shattered.
-
We shouldn't worry about that, numerically we've got the best chance of top 4, it's up to us not anyone else.
-
They're just an expensive Burnley, they've been schooled today
-
This is immense

Hahahahahahahaha fuck you plastic mancs
-
We've got a game in hand after this, it's still in our hands so a manure humbling please
-
Great vision by Robertson, even better finish from Gakpo
-
He didn't even touch him
-
Thankfully a different commentary team on the channel I'm watching but they're still verbally falating "Yanited".
-
He's got a face I'd never tire of punching
-
It's their MO, they look shite, 10 behind the ball but they break at pace and have some lethal finishers. They'll scab this game too, even though they're under the cosh.
-
ETH with the audacity to call us time wasters and they're doing it from the 1st minute! They aren't a very good side, they're just lethal, give them an eye of goal and they'll score but Liverpool will get chances, if they make the most of them they'll win.
-
I really want to see man u get humbled and it'll sting even more for them if its against Liverpool, but at the same time we'll move down another position in the table if that happens. Maximum cognitive dissonance!!
-
Last season these were the games they won to save their skin, not sure they've got it in them this season, could the blue and white shite finally get flushed?
-
Colback was even worse than I remembered, how he's still getting game time ill never know. Forest looked infinitely better when he went off and can count themselves unlucky not to have won that.

Liverpool look to have found some (unconvincing) form at the right time and will be making a charge for that 4th spot, Spurs will continue to fluctuate, top 3 is settled regardless of the order. I'm not too worried about the teams below Liverpool as their form isn't great either. Having said that we need to start winning, but before that we need to start scoring! We still have the meanest defence in the league but only Chelsea are worse than us in the top 10 for GF. From this stand point top 4 is still numerically in our hands, however I don't envision us dropping out the top 6 unless continue on this barren run, it's been a tough slog this winter but we will turn the corner soon.
