Just a side note on the Eddie has been well supported line, yes he's had available funds to spare but he didn't really have any support last summer, no one with a rolodex, no one owed a favour from an agent or fellow DM, no one with links, or expertise. The summer was a shambles and for that reason alone I think Howe deserves another crack at the whip. He was hung out to dry, along with a small team of scouts doing a job waaaay outside their paygrade. The transfer window had to happen, we couldn't have waited, but it was so unsupported that it did more damage than good. Now you can blame Howe for his choices, Elanga, Wissa, et al, but with someone who's job it is to navigate a transfer window we have a much better season.

I dunno mate, constant travel, luxury or not is tiring, it's mentally tiring, its not an excuse in itself but it adds to a bigger picture, definitely.

Not only have we played one of, if not the most games in Europe, already at 45 with (hopefully) plenty more to come, but this is worth thinking about too: It all adds to the fatigue.

Wor Mandy was the sliding doors moment for sure, we miss that buffer with a genuine connection to every level of the club. Worth her weight in gold and sorely missed.

Nothing has changed for me, Howe is still the right man for the job, this season hasn't been good enough though and no one will be more patently aware of that than Eddie. No point in repeating myself ad nauseam, but there are a multitude of mitigating circumstances leading into this season that meant it was going to be a slog. He deserves at least until Christmas to get a full preseason to work it out and a new season with probably less games to get us firing. If it hasn't worked out by then, maybe I'll change my stance.

Let the hyperbole commence! Not much has changed since a few weeks ago before that good run, we were severely hampered in the summer on a multitude of fronts and we're struggling with the match calendar. I just want this season to be over and look forward to starting afresh next season with one game a week and actually winning more than we lose.
