There's a direct corroboration between a CL team and how much a player gets paid, so essentially the players do want to play for CL teams but only because they know that's their higher rate of pay. But I get what you're saying

Was gutted we had so many injuries in the corresponding fixture last season, thought we could have won that. I was quietly confident about the Man utd game but kept my head down and tried to play devil's advocate, I'm also confident about this one, we're Postecoglou's kryptonite.

I wouldn't even say that, this team has evolved, we're not having to go hell for leather for the full 90 to get a result, we're much better at controlling games now and Tonali in that pocket means we're not running as hard when we do get bypassed or lose possession.

This all boils down to the first leg realistically, we need to inflict the dark arts on them, keep it at 0-0 harry and frustrate them as much as possible. We can beat anyone at SJP so we've just got to make sure we return home with a realistic challenge.
