I have confidence in the team and the players, where this falls down however is with Pardew and his inept management skills, I just think he'll have us set up negatively in all but the Arsenal game where we're expected to get thumped. We'll go down with a whimper cuz we set up to not lose and consequently lose, rather than set up to win and attack the opposition from the off. Depressing times.

Pardew was given a shit load of players in January, how have we played since this financial backing? Had they come in the summer I honestly believe we'd be in a similar, if not the same situation as now. He has a virtually fully fit squad and he lines up like that against Liverpool??? I don't think it's necessary to have someone lined up right now, if someone good is available then go for it, if not just bin him and let Carver choose the team, yes he's no mastermind but I'm damn sure he can get that more right than Pardew. Essentially the paramount importance here is to remove the cancer, (a) he's doing more damage than good being here and will continue to do so and (b) he's lost the players, he'll get nothing from them in these last 3 games. He HAS to go if we want any more points on the board cuz he sure as he'll won't get anything now.

With him we are rudderless, can't handle seeing another of his negative (containing) line ups, tactical ineptitude and puzzling substitutes! "No more goals!" Who fucking says that?? We don't even need a manager to play better, just someone to put the players in their strongest positions and let their football do the talking, round pegs, round holes. Still kind of expected at least one final attempt to blame the players rather than Pardew for yesterday's display, though valid to a point, ultimately it's Pardews fault the players don't give a shit any more, even they must have been banging their heads on the tunnel wall at yesterday's line up.

Not so much a twat as vehemently backing the useless cockney when the wheels had already come off, some stubborn refusal to accept what has been glaringly obvious to most for the best part of the season. I was ridiculed for bringing that up. Pardew was blameless in that situation apparently. Tbf most people at the time thought it was shitty how these two were forced on him and he was made to play them and yea Tevez is a premadonna but in hindsight it all sounds very familiar. A leopard doesn't change it's spots and Pardew is making the same mistakes again. It's clear as day reading that, the players seem to like him on a personal level and that has bought him time, but his match day decisions, line ups, tactics and substitutions are of a man way out of his depth. This will be his last job after this, punditry from here on out.

Why would they not come to us? Financially sound, a good squad of core players most teams outside the top 6 would be envious of and some in the top 6 would take off us. The right manager could do good things with our setup. Don't underestimate the pull our club has. The opportunity to be a living legend by bringing some much deserved silverware to the perennial underachievers, it's got to mean something still.

As much as I hated the fact Hughton was replaced by this joker at the time I was willing to give him a chance as every dog has its day, and to be fair Hughton probably would never have got us to fifth but I also know he'd never have us sat 5 points above relegation and in free fall. The players don't respect Pardew any more, fuck knows what goes on at the training ground but we can't even do the basics anymore! It's clear the players are as sick of the 'tactics' as we are and with how stubborn, self centred and arrogant Pardew is, nothing will change. Ergo he's got no chance of winning the players back, especially after attacking them post match. If I was Colo/Cabaye I'd have been in MA's office last night demanding something change, time to throw Pardew under the bus.
