Time will tell if he's worth it. With the inflated prices this summer for British players I think between £6-7 is fair. There was no way we'd have paid that for him though.

As a toon fan, of course I'd love to be in their position, winning cups and finishing in Champs League spots, but at the same time, whilst I'd enjoy the success, I'd be frustrated if I thought the team was capable of a more entertaining style of football. I reckon they'll keep hold of sturridge tbh. I think they'd prefer to ship out Anelka but what with his age/wages he'll be harder to shift.
