Agree with this. I do think it's time to go though. The fact of the matter is we've been dreadful from the very start this season. A convincing case could be made for more or less every point we have on the board at the mo that we've been somewhat fortunate in the means by which we've achieved them. It's a complete waste of my hard earned going to watch this shower week in, week out.

Was simply delighted that we'd done so well, but I don't think even the most loyal fan could deny that on many occasions last year we looked far from a top 5 side. Would love to know the last side that finished top 5 that got thrashed by 4 or 5 against Wigan, Fulham and Spurs. As mentioned, a combination of good fortune and sublime individuality played a part. Would love to know what Pardew's own ambitions are for the side this year if he's coming out with those comments. We spend an entire season aiming to get into Europe, we get there, then all he does is bitch and moan about it being a strain on the players. Would he rather we not be in Europe at all? If we were not, would results have been any different? Fwiw I think Pardew was more than happy to toe the party line in the summer when we didn't bring anyone in.
