  1. Just have a feeling Jarrod Bowen will end up at Leicester. Would make a good match even if I want him at Newcastle.
  2. Hey, we're midtable. No transfer's gonna happen!
  3. Well, it's usually the case. Either you stay or you go, isn't it?
  4. The difference between Longstaff last season and this is between his ears. Expectations have been raised, opposition players are now aware of him, and he's under more pressure. A lot on here are blaming Bruce, but Longstaff is the only one whose form has dipped significantly, and I don't see that he's being asked to play a different role. He's in the middle of a second season syndrome, and isn't handling it properly yet. But I strongly believe he'll come good again. This is what exactly what I think. He will come good. I actually think the Longstaff brothers can become a good pairing in midfield. Think they will compliment each other really well. But they need more experience. A 3 man midfield of them and Almiron in a free role would be nice.
  5. Even though that's the rule a special exception should have been made for Miggy for what is arguably the most deserved goal ever. Ref put his arm around him and was almost apologetic. Ref knew what it meant. It's a stupid rule! But I also don't understand why players does it? Don't they wanna wear the shirt?
  6. When we get this takeover done and dusted I expect us to unveil Pochettino as our new manager! ...oh, sorry, I'll get my coat. Taxi!!!
  7. Umbro or Errea for me. Their kits often look very good.
  8. That's what everybody said about Henrik Larsson as well when he played at Celtic.
  9. Sign Bowen from Hull. Just pay what they want(I know we dont work that way). Then sign Morales from Rangers. Offer players to go the other way. Such as Gayle, Ki, Aarons, Colback, Saivet etc. They're decent players for the Championship or SPL.
  10. 1st Tiote vs Arsenal 2nd Ben Arfa vs Blackburn/Bolton (both really!) Jonas vs West Ham for most memorable. So nice for him after all he went through. Was like a fairytale and a moment that gives you goosebumps and tears of joy at the same time!
  11. Pointless to play Shelvey as he goes for a long ball 9 times out of 10. We never get any posession that way. He hits a long ball we drop the ball and have to defend all the time. Hard to score a goal if we just have to defend all the time.

    Joelinton

The most interesting thing when compairing Joelinton to Rondon for me is that Rondon scored goals and Joelinton isn't doing that. Simple as that. But I think that is what you get with a more experienced striker...
  13. I think it would suit them to be the two central midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 system. Only problem with that is we've not played well with 4 at the back for a few seasons now. Maybe that could be solved with a new RB and a new LB. Would like us to line up like this: Dubravka New RB - Schar - Lejuene - New LB Shortstaff - Longstaff Bowen - Almiron - ASM Joelinton/New Striker
  14. Would be mint to have Chi as owner of NUFC! ?
  15. Really hope Fernandez gets a chance in the first team this season. He was close to get his chance before he got injured last season.
  16. Would be great if we could sign long term deals for the Longstaff brothers and Woodman and re-sign young Gibson from Everton.
  17. Matty reminds me a lot of Paul Scholes in the way he play. Good positioning. Good passer of the ball, both long and short. Good shot. Good tackler. Good vision. Seems to often make good decisions. Good workrate. Still very early days of course but looks to have all it takes to make it.
  18. Think Almiron was good today. Needs to stop with the diving-stuff before it gives him a reputation that is hard to shake off. Needs a goal to make him play more relaxed, but I'm sure it will come soon.
  19. Great game today by the Longstaff's! Hopefully they can be our central midfield pairing for a long time now. Hayden must be third choice after this! ...and Shelvey no way near the team.
  20. Does being rich matter? I’d trust him to use our money correctly and market us properly to grow us naturally. There’s not many new owners about buying clubs who have a background in running a club, he’s had two spells at two of the most successful clubs, and was significant in expanding both. Exactly! They doesn't have to be rich just run the club with the money the club generates. - TV-money - Match revenue - Sponsor deals etc. Peter Kenyon is good on the buisiness side of football. He can make the club grow without putting much money in. It's the money the club generates that should be used to buy players. Just as Ashley says actually. Problem with Ashley is that he doesn't make the club generate enough money. On occation when he does he takes the money out himself. But Kenyon has done this before with succes at both Man Utd and Chelsea. What concerns me is that they want to buy the club in installments. They must buy the club with their own money. Not with the money the club will generate.
  21. I'd take Kenyon & co even if they don't bring a sh*tload of money. As long as they got some ambition and we get a good manager who will be backed to spend the money avalible as he want's so he can build a team we can get proud of even if we don't break into the top 4 or 6. I'd be happy to be a 7-10th place club at the moment as long as we have some ambition to get better. Plus Kenyon has a good record from Man Utd and Chelsea. Don't think he will be on board just so the owners will make more money. He's in it for the football-side of things.
  22. Leicester has really done a good job from when they got promoted. They've got good players and play very good football. They've managed to keep a good standard even if they've sold some players and changed managers a few times. Always seems to find new players that fits to their way to play. Guess that's what's called ambition! Must be happy days to be a Leicester fan.
  23. If he decides to come back with a bid a second time, why bid £300M when the asking price still is £350M? Because he's made a nice brochure...?
