Has there been any actual proof that the saudi bid has failed? Or is it just speculation as usuall?
-
Even and empty stadium won't make him sell. The free advertising and the TV money is worth so much more for him There wont be any advertising worth having - no fans = no tv and no tv money because we will have successive relegations . He will sell when it starts costing him money and theres only one way to do that - leave and dont go back till hes gone He will have the team staying in the PL and get the TV money. Buy some players, sell some players but no big outlay on the squad. This is what he has been doing sience he bought the club and that's what he will do as long as he owns the club. He has no reason for selling the club. If he wanted to sell, this deal with the saudis would've been already completed by now.

If the prince of saudi can't buy this club, no one can! The clubs just not for sale and the only thing to make him wanna sell is direct threts and violence to him and sports direct. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, but the only thing that would make him want to sell.

We're gonna regret not buying a striker.

West Ham paid £18M for Bowen, with add ons for upp to £7M. Could be £25M in total.

Think it's quiet at the moment because of the transfer window. There's no rush from either part. One week or one month doesn't really matter in this time of the season. Should've been if it was before the transfer window, so the new owners could buy new players. It's gonna happen! (I think?)
-
If there are only one transfer left for us to make in this window, I hope it's gonna be the big one where we move Ashley out. That would've been a great window for us.
-
Very quiet on the takeover front yesterday and today. Probably a good sign but the silence is hard to live with. Want to get it done, NOW!
-
Here's a thought: Maybe everything is agreed and signed. And the only thing everybody is waiting for is the Premier League to aprove the new owners as "fit and proper". My guess is we will know by the end of the week!

Ashley has said before that he will only sell the club to someone that has the money to take the club forward. He is now dealing with Stavely/PCP who got close before, plus one of the richest man in the world and the second richest family in England! If they aren't able to take the club forward no one is. And that is compared to Ashley himself, who is taking the club backwards every season. Just get it done this time!
-
If they're talking to three parties then they must be able to sell to one of them.
-
"A deal could be done as early as tuesday"?
-
Very quiet on the takeover front today. Waiting for a bomb: "Deal completed!"
-
So, it's leaked in the media. So what!? That's not a reason not to sell.
-
I agree with you. A whole fresh new start from top to bottom. Why? Who would you prefer? I've been thinking this as well. Love Rafa as a person and his comitment and passion. But last time he was here we didn't play the most attractive football. He is very defence minded. I would like to see Pochettino. Did a great job at Tottenham and really built a good team. Broke the dominance of "the top 4". Would be pleased with Rafa, but Pochettino would be my first choice.

Ut usually means desperation tactics by one of parties, and that usually means there isn't a deal in place. The buyer to try and grt fans onside and apply pressure, the ahem, seller, to flush out other parties. Not always the case mind. If it's a genuine leak, ie some cunt got word rather than planned, then it doesn't make a difference. So which one is this? Well, I'm gonna treat it like a fakeover anyway untill proved otherwise! Nah, who am I kidding! IT'S HAPPENING THIS TIME!!! :frantic: :frantic:
-
I don't understand why the deal could collapse because it's being leaked to the press. What differens does that make? Anyone who knows?
-
Just get it done, and unveil Pochettino at the same time! ???
-
The story in the Chronicle says David Reubens son, Jamie Reuben, is set for an executive role at Newcastle. He is currantly a board member of QPR though. Also at QPR as a DOF is Les Ferdinand. Les Ferdinand was recomending Bentaleb to join Newcastle. Just saying...?♂️

It's on!!! It's really happening this time!!!
-
Agree with that. Either a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-2-3-1(wich I prefer). Think it's something to do for next season. With a full preseason for everyone to get used to it.
-
Behave yourself. Piatek upfront, Bowen on the bench. Piatek would be great! But I think he will end up elsewhere. Would love us to play 4-2-3-1 with a front 4 of: Bowen Almiron Saint Max Piatek But it depends on if Lazaro can play RB.
