Was checking on this earlier and the last newspaper media reports about it seem to be from November last year (google search) so if that's the case then it seems a big gap without any other reports. Think it’s still in the background, Leeds chairman seems very close to PSG/bein chief. Maybe, think there would have been fresh stuff coming out though, 8 months is a long time with nothing new. Next week perhaps?

This takeover saga has become such a joke now that when an official announcment is made by the new owners no one will belive it and just laugh at it and take it as a joke. Hard to see, after so long time, this will ever have an end.

Why don't we give some of the younger players some gametime in the last games? We have nothing to lose in theese games and it would be a good opportunity to see if thay can play at this level and give them a taste of it. For example Rose can't play att spurs. Who ever plays lb at the u23s must be given a chance tomorrow. We also have 5 subs to make during the games. At least 2 of thoose should be youngsters imho.

If the saudis buy NUFC and then buys the TV rights for the PL, isn't that as if NUFC owns the TV rights then? And isn't that a conflict of interest??‍♂️ But I bet the PL can see through the fingers if it suits them...

He’s not good in midfield at all. Agree, and Krafth is not a cb. I would prefer Shortstaff in midfield, Schar at cb and Krafth or Yedlin at rb.

Is it anyone who even know why the holdup of the takeover is? Is it human rights, piracy, tv-deal or what? If it's human rights, I don't think that has anything to do with if they could be able to own a football club. If it's piracy, I thought they had put an end to beoutQ and that would be solved. If it's the tv-deal, that has nothing to do with NUFC. It's a seperate deal and should not stop them from buying NUFC.

Here in Sweden we have the 51% rule. It's good in the way that the members can vote who they think should run the club. And if the board does a bad job you vote on someone else. The problem in Sweden is that it's hard for the clubs to make money. No investors want's to go in with money because they have no control where the money should be spent. Even if he buys 49% of the club his will can be voted against. It may work better in the UK where the TV-deal is so much higher.

Shouldn't it be the members of a football club that decides if a new owner is fit to own their club? Shouldn't be the PL:s matter imo. Don't think the members wants an owner who doesn't want what's best for the club.

The board of the PL must all resign after this. They've handed this in an awfull way. This should never take this long. It's a takeover of a football club, not a political game. The longer theese things take, the harder for them to make a desition. It can't be that hard to make a desition. Either you approve or you don't. They're digging themselfs a grave here. Either desition they make now will be wrong for someone and they will probably get sued by someone either way now. One thing I don't get, is that it is all confidential but they are listening to everyone who has any complaints. And the more time it takes, the more complaints from both sides. This desition should be based on if they're fit to run a football club and that only. The piracy thing and the human rights thing is another matter and should not be judged by the PL and has nothing to do with if they can run a football club. I don't see why they can't own a football club and still be punished for other rhings by other autorities if found guilty of thoose things. GET A DESITION MADE NOW!!!

One part of me want to wait for the saudis because it would be so nice when it finaly happens. But one part of me says it won't happen, so reject it now so others (Mauriss, whoever?) can come in before next season. Feel pretty sure Ashley wont come back and really wants out this time. I'm just tired of this waiting now and just want it sorted one way or another.

Fernandez has been better then Schar this season to be fair. Schars problem is to keep focused for 90 mins. Seems to dip under a match and takes some bad desitions at times. Think he fits better with 3 cb's than 2. The pairing of Lascelles and Fernandez has been really good sence we started to play a back 4 again.

Roma and Inter Milan always have nice kits. Should be a good match with Nike who often do nice kits. But theese two are horrible tbh.

Yes, overseas do. Not in every market. Scandinavian countries are only allowed one 3 pm game on Saturdays (different now though, obviously). Live that is. But they show every game a few hours later so all games is shown at some point.

As Madras said though it will just be viewed with contempt anyway until the official announcement occurs. I'm pretty confident there has been some leaks already, but even as you have illustrated in your posts, until something comes from the horses mouth then nobody is going to take it for gospel. Yeah I get that 100%, but for example I remember Caulkin saying he would know that the tests have been passed before the money transfer and as such would say something. Now I’m not sure he would after he indicated it was close last time and everyone (myself included) got really excited. After some stick he has been given for saying things in a positive light in the early part of the takeover, I would say he (and other journalists) will be keeping his powder dry until an official announcement. As I said before I'm pretty confident there has been some leaks and that is why there has been such a change in the reporting of the media in the last 24 hours. Sit back and just await for the official announcement as I don't think we are too far off. I reckon next week at the earliest for the official announcement. Yeah, me too. But when next week arrive we probably think that next week will be the week. Been thinking next week for what, 10 weeks now?!
