Its definitely takeover or bust for me. Benitez staying with Ashley changes nothing for the direction of the club other than reapplying the plaster on the axe wound. Rafa staying with either owner or bust for me. The club will drop down the leagues like Sunderland otherwise. The takeover is the absolute most important thing by an absolute mile. We have had 12 years of the club being totally devoid of basic investment and improvement. No person manager or player is more important than the future of the club. Agree! If Ashley doesn't sell the club I hope (and think) Rafa leaves. If Rafa stays along with Ashley it's another year wasted. We must get a change now! It's the most crusial thing for the club. If Ashley doesn't sell and Rafa leaves I think it will be impossible for Ashley to continue, with all the pressure and hate from the fans it will bring. Which way this will end I think Ashleys days at the club are numberd. He really has to sell now.

How likely is that? I'd say it's 50/50. At least for fun88, they probably have another sponsor lined up. Hopefully they can get a better deal with another shirt brand so it will be worth buying puma out. Puma deal is up after this season and they won’t change this seasons kits now This seasons kits aren't official yet, so why not?

Maybe it's Rafa who doesn't want to sign a new contract as long as Ashley is here. As long as the new owners wants him to stay it's no rush for him to sign anything now. Just in case he signs now and then Ashley pulls the plug on the takeover.

Let's say the takeover is finished on say 10th of july and Rafa is out of contract. He is still free to sign a new contract with us. I don't get why it's so much focus on Rafas contract. First thing first. The most inportant thing is to get the takeover done. Rafas contract is a later issue. Just hope BZG is talking to Rafa if they want him to stay.

What points to the deal is going to happen is that no one from NUFC has denied anything. That's usually the case if the deal is off. But Ashley is impossible to read in theese situations and you never really know. Only time will tell i guess...

I think Errea's kits are often very smart. Errea, Umbro, Nike or Adidas would do for me.

I wonder if Staveley has any part of this takeover. She is a close friend of the sheijk and was the one who tried to brooker the deal when he tried to buy Liverpool. She also said a couple of months ago that she still had interest in buying Newcastle.

Just a thought... In the BZG groups statement it was said that all the papers had been signed and sent to the premier league for the fit and proper test. And that usually takes a couple of weeks. But we don't know when it was sent. Could be sent the same day as the statement came, but it could also been sent a couple of weeks ago. Well, we have no idea and no one else seems to neither...
