My thought as well!
-
Hard to see it will be announced on a saturday. Stuff like this never happens at weekends. Monday at the earliest, if anything's happening at all.
-
Imagine we lose 1-2 and it becomes official that she walks away from the deal.???
-
Anyone knows? I honestly don't know.
-
Has the interview with Staveley been yet? Wasn't it supposed to be at 15.00?
-
Beardsley has had the job for too long without any improvement. Time for a change. I think someone like Steve Watson could do a good job.
-
So is the kick off of both the interview and the game at the same time? Must get some good sleep tonight so I could do two things at the same time tomorrow. Imagine Amanda to announce she's the new owner the same second as we score the first goal! Eufori!!!!???.....................hart attack!!!???

Cantervale is a music and food festival in Canterbury arranged by Canterbury boys highschool or something like that. Can't see any relevance in that though.

Ed at nufcblog is picking up on this now. Nothing new but anyway. www.nufcblog.com/2018/01/03/takeover-update-amanda-staveley-registers-new-company-holding-company-to-acquire-newcastle/

Wtf!!! Never seen this. Classic!!!!??? Have to love Keegan!?

Only from what I've seen. Aarrons had really good games against Spurs and Man City a couple of years ago. Of course he has been injured a lot after that and not played much. Question for Aarrons is if he will find that form again or if the injuries has destroyd him. Only way to know is to play him or loan him to a club where he will get games. But in my opinion he has showed more in the past than Murphy has ever done.
-
Perez is so much better when he plays as a striker. Think he's our best finisher inside the box.
-
Here you go buddy: Perez then, by the look of that! ???
-
Murphy? Murphy is not a direct player apart from the last 20 minutes yesterday. Always losing the ball or hesitating and turning back. Maybe it's a confidence matter but I'm not sold on him yet. Needs to show more. Aarrons > Murphy for me. Hopes he proves me wrong.
-
Loved all of the entertainers. But David Ginola was a pleasure to watch. Rob Lee, Alan Shearer and Tino Asprilla always stood out for me as well. Most underrated though was David Batty (even if most fans rated him highly I think?).
-
Think Murphy was very poor yesterday. Got himself in to good positions on the rightside but useless with the ball. Then in the last 20 minutes or so something happend. He started to get past his guy and controled thd ball better and found some great passes. The one for Gayle (which should have been a penalty) and of course the one for the goal. Hope this will give his confidence a boost. If he can keep playing like in the last 20 yesterday he will be a real asset. Needs to be more direct and confident. Hopefully that will come with gametime.
-
Think he's been very good lately (apart from Brighton). Offers speed and is very direct. The only player we have with that quality at the moment.

Undefeted in 2018!!?????????? Geeeeet iiiiiiin!!!!!???

Not possible as per Premier League rules. If Toon No9 wants to wear a coat, I can't see the the Premier League can do much about it. ??? Nobody tells me what I can't wear!?

I know all about his record and belive he will get results if/when backed with money. And of course premier league safty comes first. But I don't think we will ever play an attractive football under Rafa. It's not in his thinking. Defence will always be his priority. The question is if we want to finish in top eight with boring football, or a team that plays attractive while beeing a steady premier league team? Bournmouth, Leicester, Watford and Swansea (a few years ago) have all been able to do it without spending great amount of money but with good managers who want's offensive attractive football. I'm not sure myself. Love Rafa and love attractive football but doesn't see how it could happen together. I guess it's easier for us fans to take it if we lose some games but play very good attractive football than loosing and play boring. Never at the cost of premier league safty tho.
-
Absolutly love Rafa as a person. He says all the right things, is so professional and have given all the fans something to belive in. But I think the football we play under him is so boring to watch. Would love to have a manager that play offensive football with good passing and some speed. Hope it will get better when (if) he could spend on better players but not sure. Think he will get better results with an owner that backs him all the way but dont think he will change his tactics too much. Am I asking for too much?

Not possible as per Premier League rules. An agreement could be announced. And Ashley could make the signings (but won't).
-
A few hours away until the window opens. A doubble loan signing with options to buy for Batshuayi and Kennedy to be announced along with the takeover completed. Would be a good start of the new year!!! Happy New Year Everybody!!! ??? ...I'll get my coat.?
-
Would like us to start like this vs Brighton: Woodman Yedlin Lascelles Mbemba Dummet Hayden Shelvey Merino Aarrons Atsu Gayle Darlow is error-prone, Woodman has to start playing games sometime. Why not now? Mbemba deserves to keep his place. Hayden to protect the back four. Shelvey and Merino for creativity. Lets give Aarrons some games in a row and find out how good he is while he's not injured. Ritchie and Murphy hasn't been good recently. Ritchie to come on if we need to change things in the second half. Aarrons, Atsu and Gayle to give us some speed on the wings and up front. Lets go after them from the start and keep the ball on the ground!!! Howay the lads!!!

It was a horrible mistake for the first goal. It was a wonderful freekick. The rest of his game was ok. No more, no less. His passing was no good but his workrate was. 6/10 for me.
