  1. This isn't a pre-game press conference though - it's a new manager press conference. Nah. It's both. The club have a contractual obligation to hold a pre-match presser. We haven't had one yet.
  2. http://www.nufc.co.uk/javaImages/aa/ea/0,,10278~14412458,00.jpg Hope he lets it grow.
  3. The state of that website, hopefully another thing rafa will fix. Something is always broken on each page I load. Miles easier.
  4. Still can't believe we've got him, man.
  5. I'm wondering if it'll be all signed today, let the "preferred media partners" in to do interviews. He'll probably even be spotted somewhere, but officially announced tomorrow and will coincide with a pre-Leicester presser?
  6. And of course Craig Hope has an entirely different line, stating Benitez will want to work with the players before Leicester. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3486727/Rafa-Benitez-hoping-appointed-Newcastle-manager-Friday-ahead-Monday-s-trip-league-leaders-Leicester.html
  7. Thank fuck he didn't do that wanky little dance.
  8. Aye it's a thing. They'll go to print at 10/10.30 with the exception of the sport pages for match reports.
  9. Poor Denis Irwin clearly wanted to sing a bit there.
  10. YNWA is a good song IMO "Walk on, through the rain" Nar m8. I'd rather get the bus ta. x
  11. Hope there's pure loads of mentions of special Anfield European nights throughout this.
  12. Due to travel to Newcastle on Friday. Watch there be no fucking sign of him come 4pm tomorrow.
  13. City might be out of the title race by the time we play them with just the Champions League to concentrate on. I could imagine a Rafa side grinding out a 0-0 or something against them. Seen our defence?
  14. Not sure if posted elsewhere: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35780036 Aguero's said he'll leave Man City in summer 2019 when his contract's up. Wants to end his career at Independiente.
  15. I on the other hand have no sympathy. They backed him with 80 million, and he has never looked like building anything resembling a consistent side. Now he gets a big pay off for being s****. f*** him. Not like paying him off is going to jeopardise our future funds though, we can easily afford it. Fuck the club for appointing someone so shit in the first place.
  16. Beginning to have a bit of sympathy for him now in some respects. I wouldn't walk away either, but talk of meetings for your boss only for them to piss you about is pathetic. Absolutely no sympathy with the doylem for picking Riviere last week and all his other terrible matchday decisions, though.
  17. Sky, who earlier said he was due to be sacked, are now reporting he won't be sacked today. This is an utter shambles. EDIT: And now:
  18. This isn't going to happen, is it?
  19. Savvywoman ‏@savvywoman 57s57 seconds ago Ex-Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez to sign 3yr deal w/ Newcastle.
  20. Just send his sister this back and be done with it.
  21. Can't be done over the phone of course.
  22. What he's hoping will happen: LC: Hi, Steve? SMc: Yes? LC: Quitterssaywhat SMc: What?! LC: Great! Kthxbai. *Phone down* LC: Hi, Mike? You'll never guess what!...
