I can see him walking, especially if we end up with no-one by Feb 2nd. He's an old fashioned fellah and he will feel let down by Ashley and Lambias, let's face it I can't imagine he needs the money, so my money is on him resigning. What's Wise doing in all this?
-
Of course Wenger is Joe's best mate, so he's obviously been influenced by the evil JFK.
-
Wenger and O'neill had to be pulled apart a few weeks ago by Villa's number 2, needless to say nothing at all was said about it by anyone.
-
How do you know that from the radio? :colo:

That's it we're jinxed. 27895 crowd because of no coverage

Got a link? http://www.forum-aufschalke.de/thread.php?threadid=210003&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=24 3rd post from bottom, ran it through babelfish. they have an english section too but it looks pretty empty Thanks - just had a look through and with my pidgin German picked up the following: They call him PISTOL PETE They all seemed to be gutted he was going and thought the Manager hadn't given him enough chances His injury record isn't great but he's had bad luck They all seem to think he's a nice fellah, And in between all the "Good luck Pistol Pete" posts there seemed to be an NE5 type debate going on, too many players leaving, their Manager is shite, not enough money being spent, high wage earners being sold, and Uli Hoeness being compared to Hitler and Sadaam Hussein and Stalin. Then someone saying "wot's that got to do with this thread" You know - the usual.
-
I just hope NE5 doesn't read that. Another thread massacred. My first thought, but I didn't want to bump it.
-
So much no clue he managed to get us to seventh.

One in three Hammers and Magpies fans think of giving up season tickets
dustynrg replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Football
exactly, 36% of Man utd fans is more than 37% of newcastle fans(well im guessing they have more season ticket holders than us) so surely the better headline is with man utd fans. I think it means we are more at risk because we are more reliant on season ticket sales than Man Utd, they have income coming in from all over the world. Nah - more likely that nothing can be said against those thousands of Glory Hunters (with an H) from Surrey. -
I'd rather we signed players like this than give JK any real money to spend. What a crazy way of thinking. What's to say JK won't get quality players in? Don't be daft. You may be right, but I can't see JK being here next season so what is the point in brining in expensive players on long term deals when we'll most likely have a new manager next season. Although I suppose it's irrelevant as Wise will most likely pick the players and if he continues to bring in the quality he has I'll be more than pleased. I'm just abit concerened about giving someone alot of money to spend when they've been out of the game too long and I'm pretty sure Ashley won't anyway. Why do people think this? If he keeps us up and wants the job Ashley isn't going to suddenly change Managers. If he likes him and JFK seems to be getting on with the players he'll be here as long as he's wanted. Unless of course he does a KK and rebels at the transfer budget....

I gave up on that, Russell Bland writing in the sports section is about Piers Morgan doing the same. I nearly choked on me cornflakes when I read Piers Morgan's column saying he was really hacked off with being an Arsenal supporter because they hadn't won anything in THREE YEARS. Then he has the nerve to criticise Newcastle supporters for being fickle. You couldn't make it up.

I think Bruce is a not bad Manager with an above average second in command in Eric Black. Take Black away and Bruce would be Roeder-tastic.
-
I saw this as well and had to read it twice. He's the World's number one at deflecting criticism from himself. I bet his players will be delighted. And the journos love him and fall for his every word.
-
Agreed, how anyone can slate him on here is amazing. His work rate and skills are unbelievable. Other teams rate him obviously, otherwise they wouldn't be double marking him. Is it because Wise signed him? Could that be the underlying reason some don't like him? It can't be his footballing ability surely. It's not his fault that he beats 3 players and crosses the ball to where the strikers should be but are floating about somewhere else. My guess is that a top 4 side will snap him up sooner or later and he'll be very sorely missed by us.
-
Exactly Plus i love Wayne Rooney. One of the biggest reasons to hate them IMO Agreed - plus how anyone can like a team with Prize Prick Ronaldo in it just passes me by.
-
There's more chance of us winning the Premiership than this referee (any English referee come to that) sending Wayne Rooney off.
-
How many times does Rooney need to tell the referee to fuck off before he gets booked? If it was Barton he'd have been sent off three times by now.
-
Tbf, that was a clear yellow. Just because it was early in the game shouldn't affect that. meh He well and truly went for him, good on him. He won't get a second yellow though, it's an impossibility to send the future Sir Frank off. I'd love it just love it if Chelsea beat this lot.

To be fair they're a s**** team with a Manager who is bigged up by an adoring media. We and JFK get stick galore from the papers, Harry is praised to the skies every single f***ing week. He's even getting an award tonight from the Sportswriters FFS! For services to football or some such guff. They are still third bottom, still s**** and long may it go on.

"I appreciate reception I have had from fans," Owen added. "They are a big part of this club, more so than any other and all the lads are indebted to them for showing their support, but me more than anyone, right from the start when I first signed." Why do I find this annoying and patronising. Smells of "praise the fans and they'll fall for it" - let's face it he's not botheed about us, or the club, or whatever club he plays for. I get the increasing impression he's playing for a) his England place (waste of time Mikey) and b) get funds for more horses. Rent a quote tbh.
