I'll laugh my dick off if he's lumbered and has to come begging for the old contract he was offered. Citeh would be crazy if they went in for a player with such a love of sick notes. And if anyone says players CAN change their ways - All we have to do is point to that ars*hole Dyer at WHU Christ! I forgot about him, wasn't he due back when they played us? What a waste of money he's been for them. As for Owen, last season was last season. He's a changed player this season, he's unfit, he's a bit porky and he definitely has no interest in motivating his players as club captain. But if Man City don't sign him who's going to get lumbered? He can't wait to be the next Mick Channon I reckon.

Laughable to think any of the top 4 would take Bruce - especially Man U

No-one ever says it but I can remember the police at Hillsborough that day forming a cordon across the park because they thought the Liverpool fans were going to start a pitch invasion (this was on the telly - I wasn't there). They were either on horseback or had dogs, can't remember. So they stood there whilst people died, they were also shoving people back in because they were trying to stop this mythical pitch invasion. But that's never said either. And wasn't the reason the fans kept coming in that they were directed that way? They just kept being told to go into the centre and they just kept piling in. I think to blame them is extremely insensitive, not to say clueless when you don't even know what happened. Try to think what it would be like if it was one of your family? Would you like oiks on the Liverpool board discussing how it was your fault? The police were always obsessed with pitch invasions, everyone forgets that before Stewards we had Police in their place. Didn't everyone say it was a cheap way for them to watch the match?

The player in our team who grabs his teammates balls en masse and hauls them out of the torpor they've fallen into. (Won't be Owen that's for sure). I couldn't give a shite who wins the official player of the year, why don't you add that as an option?
-
It's a miracle they didn't mention Michael Owen, after all remember him, he used to play for Engerlund didn't he?
-
Well if Martins is shit what does that make Owen? He was huffin and puffin after only five minutes yesterday. Did he actually kick a ball? And don't tell me what he's done in the past, it's now I want to see a performance, fat chance of that then.

Ah but the goal he scored at Pompey was three months ago and now there's only 2 months left till the end of the season and his exit from here. Why go into challenges that may injure him even further and put him away from a move that will secure his 100k a week?
-
Do you not think he already has adapted? He seems to still have the ability to pop up in the right spots, although he can't score the 20 yard run and shots anymore. Problem is we don't see it very much because he plays so little. Up front he hasn't adapted his game. Still someone who poses the threat of scoring goals, but on average delivers absolutely nothing to the team and will miss the odd chance that drops to his feet. Pretty much the type of striker who could get a team relegated, not through any direct fault of his own, but because a team that isn't equipped to supply him is a team that is playing with 10 men every time he fails to score. Even Ameobi, one of the worst strikers in the league, is quite possibly a better option in the team next to Martins if Owen doesn't suddenly start tucking them away. His spell in midfield is where he did adapt his game. Keegan knew what he was doing when he effectively removed Owen from the frontline - given his lack of clear pace, Owen was far more dangerous running into the box off the ball unmarked. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, we weren't ever going to see him play in that role this season. Excellent post. Ironic that the final insult of this whole Michael Owen saga is that he will probably help cost us premiership survival by being a must start even though he is so ineffective in this team. It's the sad truth. Looks like you'll get a sneak peak of an Owen-less Newcastle in a 4-5-1 today...happy days eh. Well why play Owen when he has no interest in keeping us up? He's only interested in getting back in the England team, and as long as Capello is Manager he'll be out of the England team, Capello obviously disliked him at Real M and obviously dislikes him now. He must be really down at the moment, the only thing he has to look forward to is playing for Man City, but at least he'll be getting his 100k a week, and he'll be nearer to his home. Let's stick with the players who want to play for us, not the one who can't wait to get out of the door. And he shouldn't be captain either.

Oh look, the BNP activist! Has he had his eyebrows shaped? Or are they naturally all groomed and perfect?

Anyone who upsets Phil "sit on the field while I slag you off in front of the fans and look like big man" Brown is Ok in my book. And he's Allardyce's best mate, and he wears ridiculous dandruff jackets, what's there to like?
-
You've obviously never seen him out on the toon, he loves the lasses There were some people at Michael Barrymore's wedding as well. Eh? Aren't there SOME PEOPLE at most folks' weddings?

That might be true but it's always a puzzle to me why players earning what they earn need to be "motivated", who motivates the fans? Certainly not this team. It's high time they took collective responsibility, overpaid and the "so what" attitude if we go down? They'll all have clauses in their contracts letting them go to wherever will have them. Puddins the lot of them with a handful of honourable exceptions. As for Jonas, it's laughable when I see that people think getting picked for Argentina means very little, not good enough when he plays for us yet good enough for Argentina? Might have something to do with the "unmotivated" mob that play around him then.
-
He's not a YTS apprentice Skirge, he's a full Argentinian international for God's sake!!! Don't get me wrong, I like Jonas, but his end product is piss poor for us. I've been looking at his stats and one site says he's provided 4 assists and another says 2 assists, whatever the total is it's just not good enough for a player of his undoubted ability. He's pretty crap really. Good close skills and beats the odd man, but hardly any end product to speak of. Also lately he's started giving the ball away a lot. Yeh he must be - so crap he's been picked for Argentina, and we all know how crap they are as a whole.
-
Oh well at least we have the smug satisfaction that any of our distant supporters are either exiles, relations of exiles or completely off their trolley and not glory hunting barstewards with vague connections to their place of (recent-ish) worship.

NUSC write up of Llambias attendance at the Supporters Panel meeting

Ryan Taylor is the only player I can remember for years who can take a decent corner, Zog's corners were mostly crap, Milner's were far worse and Geremi either hits the first man or goes way beyond (like Milner then). -
Is Beye back for this?
-
Jeez that's some dandruff Brown's got. As for Butt going to the bench and moanin, maybe it's time the players started taking responsibility on the pitch. Christ almighty they get paid enough.
-
Has Owen done ANYTHING? I can't make it out as I'm listening to Radio "let's report on every game apart from the one we're present at" 5
-
Haway make it 5 so we're not the only ones hammered at home by them haha just noticed the empty seats, mind you the fans have got a hell of a treck home when they've lost so badly.
-
Clive and Andy must have had some special time. as per usual people claiming the Sky dudes are biased against and for everyone! Er probably because Andy Gray leads the Sky punters in the Man U wankfest? (oh sorry UNITED wankfest).
-
So he gets picked on purely because he's black and he's "thick as shit" because he explains he's a footballer who has money? What's he supposed to say like? Oh yes I'm black and therefore sir I must be guilty of wanting to rob this shop? I hope if it happened to Martins you would be a bit more sympathetic.
-
He's wankin over Vidic then he has to say "oh well all marvellous players make mistakes" when Torres scores. I fkn hate him anarl. jockaneze c*** :colo: And what's this backward step thing Ronaldo does when he takes a freekick, he's not playin rugby FFS.
-
Frankly I couldn't give a twopenny toss what Rooney says on any subject.
-
Underrated? Certainly not by the Man U fawning media who hold a wankfest every time his name is mentioned.

Who heard Ian Wright yesterday on Talkshite (God knows why I was listening either). He was saying Scott PArker should be ashamed of himself, writhing around the ground like he did, because Cattermole's tackle wasn't bad at all. WTF? I'd like to see his reaction if it had been his darling son he tackled instead of Parker. I still remember after he did Barton, glowing interview with him in some supposedly decent rag praising him up to the skies for his attitude. Yet if he played for us they would lay into him the same way they do to Barton.
