I take it you can remember George Graham as a Manager then, or have you just seen him as a pundit? Because if the former is true what would make you think he could do anything to help us? Apart from bore the pants off all of us of course.
-
You weren't around for Euro 96 then I take it. Ah yes Euro 96 Where we were at home and didn't have to qualify, drew with Switzerland in the first game, should have been level with Scotland until Gazza's wondergoal, beat a Dutch team in total disarray, beat Spain on penalties after they had a perfectly good goal disallowed in normal time, then went out to a poor German team missing Klinsmann and Sammer on penalties. But eh remember that Christmas tree formation? So who would you have as Manager then? Someone who doesn't mind taking the job on a temporary basis?

We are desperate and if Venables can hold the fort for a couple of months until this unholy mess is sorted out then bring him in tomorrow.

Aye "Nigerian Mafia OOT"
-
Shola = Nigerian = s****! Hopefully all nigerians are not as useless when it comes to football as shola! Oba - Yakubu - ring any bells?
-
And if he bought us I can hear the moans now about "African Mafia" or worse. Bit like the fan they interviewed last week on Look North "Aye well, as long as it's somebody English that takes us over like".
-
Well I'd say absolutely no but what makes anyone think he would come to us in our present state of chaos?
-
He's trying to sell us for £481 million ... Who's going to pay that for us in the condition we are in right now? It's as if he's thought of a number and doubled it. Bought for 130 million plus 110mill debts = 240 mill - double it = 480 million, and the million he's paying Dennis Wise. It's easy come easy go for MA and has been all along. I'm not convinced he's not going to make us suffer. If he's really spiteful he could just run us into the ground.
-
I can't see how anyone is NOT worried about this - no manager, no hope of employing any decent manager until we're sold, grumbling on the terraces, negativity oozing from every corner breeding more negativity all around, players injured all over the place, club being sold or not being sold, a sale taking ages to fulfill leading to no transfer activity in January (apart from players wanting to move away). If it isn't resolved in the next few weeks how can anyone be confident we'll stay up? The only thing that encourages me is that surely Ashley isn't going to let his asset be devalued to the point where we are relegated and therefore worth a lot less to him. But looking at his antics and those of his cohorts I'm not confident by any means. If they cannot find us a left back how can they find us a buyer FFS?
-
I know i am. Woefully inept management; dreadful selection, poor motivation, bad timing of substitutions... just massively out of his depth. Did you see the game? Add to that a poisonous atmosphere with people watching people on the terraces instead of on the pitch.
-
And this foreign big name would come to us in the state we're in at the moment - why? Because at least he won't walk everytime we sign a player that he dosn't know about. No I don't mean that, I mean why would any self respecting big named manager come to us when we are in the state we are in now? Until we're sold (which will take months) we will only have the choice of an O'Leary or Curbishley. God help us TBH.
-
Bellamy hat trick anyone?
-

Surely though if you want to sell something you start at the highest price and start a haggle? You don't say oh well give us what I paid for it - that'll do.
-
But surely if we implode and end up relegated his asset (NUFC) will be so devalued that it won't be worth him selling? Or is that his plan all along? Just run us into the ground and keep asking such a stupid price for us that no-one buys? It doesn't make financial sense. Shearer won't do it definitely. If Sir Bob was in better health he would do it I suppose. But he's not going to add to his health stresses. Sounds like Hughton for a while then.
-
What you mean like Hull are?
-
I'd rather have Souness or Allardyce back than either O'Leary or Curbishley, and Strachan? Even the Celtic fans don't want him and he's won the league with them three times in a row! His football is worse than even Allardyces. We are in deep shit, and then some. Perhaps it's just a bad joke Ashley made up lat night? "let's phone the Chronic and tell them we're picking Curbs or O Leary, that'll teach the bastards."

The Citeh takeover was pretty quick wasn't it? Yes but his statements about not doing due diligence and finding a mess will no doubt lead to a proper look at the books and that's not going to take a day or two. If they decide to look back over a few years then God help us - they won't just come in like he did and say "Ok we'll take it off your hands Mikey". Anyway how do we know how long the Man City buyout took? Could that be why the players and manager decided to stick around when all looked extremely dodgy?
-
Even if he sells tomorrow the sale will take months won't it? It didn't for him as he didn't do any due diligence, but it will take more than days for everything to happen. More like months. We're going to be without a manager for ages - I would bet on past the end of the year. By which time we'll be floundering in the relegation zone. Or will we? Can you honestly see the players rallying themselves? they're more likely to be hoying in transfer requests from all over the world where they recover from their latest "injuries".

well said, we cant let the sheep decide, we will run round in circles forever....oh look...the grass is greener over there...baahh I seriuosly question your constant and frankly disturbing refrence to sheep, you may find you need to seek help my friend. What's to say Poyet would be any more of a gamble than Laudrup, Rijkaard, or any other foreign coach? It's highly unlikey in the current system a British manager would want to come in. Some fans really need to let Keegan go, he gone, done, finished and this club needs to find a replacement. So you can continue your pathetic and frankly futile crusade while I get on with supporting my football club, enjoy. CP82 is seriously getting on me tits. Negativity and sheep, he must be a mackem in disguise imo. Talking of that - what happened to that shitteam chappie?
-
How much would it piss off the Spurs fans? Whoever comes in we need someone quickly.
-
I'm not sure if it's been said elsewhere because thankfully I've been away for a few days, but didn't it all go tits up when Chris Mort went back to his day job? Ashley's biggest mistake by far was appointing an ex casino manager as CEO or MD or whatever the hell his title is. His PR skills are non existent, that statement on Saturday was a disaster for the club and written by his 10 year old child (if he has one - otherwise there's no hope for his English writing skill).

McNulty is a Man U glory hunting twat and has always hated us with a passion. He takes every opportunity to slag us off. How the BBC can employ such a biased reporter as "Chief Football Writer" (or whatever his fecking title is) just does my head in.
