Really? They look pretty damn good to me. The issue for me is our formation can't cope with their technique and pace given who is starting for us. This is a game we need a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 so we have midfield in numbers to make it harder for them to keep the ball in our half, and look to counter with pace on the break. 4-3-3 only works when your good enough to keep the ball and use it well.

Man City foul you the moment you win possession back deep in your half. It's cynical as hell. They should be getting yellows every time for it. They are already boring as fuck being brilliant at holding on to the ball for what feels like ten mins at a time passing it around. As soon as they lose it and it could lead to a counter they always foul. Do it quickly so it looks too deep to be considered cynical, but they do it all the time its clearly a strategy to disrupt opposition rythem and counter opportunity.

Daughter's 8th birthday so been out with her all day. Just got home and caught last 15 mins, so saw Isak goal. Score line is mental, looking forward to highlights and reading through this thread. Can't ask for a better scoreline to kick on for rest of the season. From looking a bit toothless to scoring 8 away. Nuts.

It's a good outcome for sure. Very happy, but does that mean we can't discuss concerns with the tactics and how the game actually played out?

Waiting to 94th minute to hit the target while having our goal peppered for 90 mins is a sign that its a fortunate result rather than one from design. Point away is always good, but it easily could have been a loss. We have to do better.

Fantastic point, but more luck than anything. We have to get back to throttling the opposition and imposing our game. We are creating nothing for Isak/Wilson to finish, and shaky as hell at the back. Maybe Trips on the left and Tino on right has to happen. To stop Burn anymore playing left. Then we have to see fullbacks attacking and Bruno wandering to thread something through. Scandalous that our best creative talents can't get out of their own half.
