Christain Poulsen. You wouldn't even be going to the World Cup if it wasn't for him. Yes, you got results against Sweden and Portugal, but you certainly did not impress. Yes, C. Poulsen is our most important player, but he certainly isn't our best attacking player, actually he often switched position with Agger when we were building up play. And I didn't say that we impressed (although we can discuss that another time), but as I said the results were certainly impressive, finshing above and beating Portugal and Sweden.

People are really not liking Bendtner? He is a good player that's getting better by the season. He's only a Arsenal starter now 'cause Adebayor left, but he still is an alright player for them I think. For Denmark he has gotten really good and is easily our best attacking player the last year, where we btw have gotten very impressive results, incl. wins over Portugal and Sweden. So give it a rest guys, at least in regards to his performanches and importance for Denmark, we probably wouldn't even be going to the world cup if it wasn't for him. That's more than Ibrahimovic did for Sweden (although Zlatan is of course a much better player).

AFAIK the new fair play rules are quite clear - keep on playing 'till the ref stops the game. Not all teams seem to get that though.

Duncan, although being a limited player, is a better goalscorer and fits better into the system than Løvenkrands. He also seems to actually work when he puts on the Denmark jersey. And if he plays regularly until summer, he's doing it for a better team than Løvenkrands. Although Eriksen is very young and hyped right now, he does seem to be in rapid development and could be playing regularly for Ajax before summer, and might then be a wild card for the world cup. Plus for sentimental reasons he seems to be the kind of player the fans have been starving for since the retirement of M. Laudrup and it could be very valuable experience for him, even if he's only going to be figure as a substitute. Enevoldsen is competing for the two winger spots and the behind the striker position, that Løvenkrands could also be in contention for.

I agree, I just don't get why Wenger hasn't signed him up to replace Bendtner. Probably his age policy or just common sense.
-
And all those three are probably ahead of Løvenkrands in the queue.

He has several things going against him atm. - He's injured - He's playing in the championship. - He's not comfortable enough enough to play as one of the wingers in our 4-3-3 system (same goes for playing behind the front striker, although I don't think he has been tried there and it probably wouldn't work anyway). - He's simply not as good as the competition for the main striker position and probably not the right type. If he didn't get injured he would maybe be in instead of Lekic and if we were in the PL (IF we were playing him) he would probably have a shout at making the world cup team. This is of course all me speculating.

I thought the danish version was a bit better than hughtons "tightness in the upper area of his leg" version.
-
Løvenkrands said to danish media today that he's hoping his injury wont last for more than a week. He has strained his left buttock, so we probably shouldn't expect to see him against watford. This will perhaps ruin his last chances for going to the world cup, since the call-up for next friendly is tomorrow and he needs to be involved to in it to have even a small chance to be in contention.

1-0, Nolan in the 74th minute. In overtime Williamson gives away a penalty in a situation where we wanted a freekick for a foul on Harper, a foul where Harper gets injured. Williamson then takes the gloves and saves the penalty, and with clenched hands he screams at the Watford support as the ref blows his whistle for the last time.

James Neville - Hangeland - Upson - Evra Milner - Fabregas - Essien - Modric Torres - Tevez

For some reason this result doesn't bother me as much as usual. Maybe it is just because I couldn't watch the match, but it's just better to win a home match by a big margin and lose an away match by a big margin than two stupid draws, especially when you win against a top team and lose to a team that doesn't matter.
-
Just got home. how is it going? are we winning?
-
Don't expect to see him there. I think he has the same problem as when first coming here; not comfortable enough when playing one of the wingers in our 4-3-3 formation and not good enough to be battling for the main striker position. Never say never though, but he definitely needs to be involved in some friendlies soon to be considered at all.

Just came home after a hard nights work. Thought I would just come on here to check how the old black and white was doing, already resigned to just find threads like "would you sit next to Barton in a quizshow?" and "ronaldo is making fun of my new haircut!!", when I saw "Wayne Routledge signs on 3.5 year deal". Needless to say, I was blown away by the news of what to me seems to be a very decent signing. I will read tomorrow what people think and why this is all part of ashleys masterplan to destroy football as we know it, but no matter what happens, at least this signing made me able to go to sleep tonight with a smile on my face.

Very emotional celebration from Løvenkrands, looked like he was almost crying. Very important goal for him and the team.

All you need is love!!!

two mistakes in a row from enrique.

A good first half, with both sides playing well. Objectively I think they had a bit more of the initiative and have been more of a goal threat. But I think this is the kind of match where we'll have the second half and probably win it! good goal guthrie and a nice return to watching football. 2-1
