if comes in as back up for cisse in a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 im happy. Do not fancy them starting together in a 4-4-2. Hope we sign a really good LW with a proven record for goals and assists. Do not know who it could be? Probably not remy, belhanda and PEA. Who is our new left winger? any suggestions?

it would be easy and safe to keep perch around. But if we want to progress then it would be good to replace him. He can do a job when needed but it won´t bring us forward. We have good alternatives in all the positions where he can play.

yeah, it is very frustrating. Signing him for 15 mill is "cheap". I mean after a couple of season in the PL and with his potential in mind i truely believe there is money to be made from him in the future. It would be an ok career move for him as well. Especially if we manage to hold on to our best players imo. please make it happen (still writting about this even though i promised myself i wouldn´t)

agree...i forgot to write that. It would be a massive boost for squad, fans, clubs, future players....its really what we need. Especially i think it would be good to show squad and fans that we are in for top players! still i do not expect it to happen...i think we want him more than he wants us. well...can´t really be Joe´s decision as he hardly have seen them in action. Rather we shifted players like jonas, obertan, gosling, ameobi....players that proved they never will be good enough. replaced them with promising players. really would like to keep mr. allround perch.

BONY - can he play next to cisse - probably not. Him and cisse to swap and we buy and exciting forward/left winger to start ahead of gouffran. Then i truely start to believe things could be interetsting....even with pardew/joe. but just cant see ashley splashing 25 mill for 2 players. But imaging if he did....its close to what we need. Imo our central defends is ok. M´biwa and colo. taylor/willo back up. What an exciting team we could have.

That wouldn't just be a waste of his best attributes, it would also be asking him to do something he's not very good at (bit like Pardew does with absolutely everyone). Plus, chipped passes have never worked in this team. Especially with our total lack of wingers. Cabaye needs to be the furthest midfielder forward. Anita or Sissoko should be the deepest. Tiote should be nowhere near the side. Cabaye's best attributes are his vision and passing. The deeper midfield role is perfect for him in the PL - when (as you've alluded to) we find ourselves with 2 good wide players. i agree. deep role like pirlo. sissoko and anita box to box would be an interesting midfield. i hope pardew will see this as our strongest combination in central midfield for next season. doubt it though Don't think we are strong/good enough for that unless we went with a diamond in midfield. Cabaye moving laterally as a DM is asking for trouble. not sure i agree. I love marveaux but i think it might be too risky playing him in 3 man central midfield?

the detachment will come slowly by itself ( you don´t have to try) like during last season when our football was among the worst i ever seen. Carr and his work is the only good thing for this club - only thing that worked. Rumours said that Joe didn´t know Douglas....well its just the most idiotic thing i ever heard. Joe comes in - doesn´t know anything about foreign players - players we have scouted for ages. Why have he not been briefed....i can´t believe it is true, its simply just too idiotic! Nothing makes sense...Our best man Carr is a specialist in finding cheap and good players in central Europe - can´t really complain about any for his recommendations....why would ashley risk all that for an old dinosaur who isn´t in touch with modern football or players! Its just too weird....and i cannot believe for one second that the reason why douglas is not signing is coz Joe never heard of him....no communication no knowledge....can´t be true

Carr is Ashley biggest asset - if he is leaving as rumoured then we are truly f*cked. Carr´s work has been the only positive thing and important thing for this club the last years!

What is he expected to say. If Joe is here to stay me might hope for a positive reaction from the players...otherwise everything will fall apart before season even kicks off.

Helenius i have followed over the last years and seen most of his games for AaB. I like him alot, there is room for improvement as he is still young. Fast and ok strong (maybe not PL strong yet). Poor header but overall exciting. Don´t think he will brake into the first team this season....too soon!
